You and a Mug of Tea and the Morning

Awaking slowly
    to unaccustomed morning
    bright sunlight pouring over me
    a shower of unexpected heat.
Unfamiliar kitchen sounds.
A tangle of blanket and pillow and
    limbs heavy still with sleep
    greeting the easternly sun.
Oh.
That’s what has been missing.
