You look at me,
I look away,
Thinking of all the things,
I wish you would say.

My heart skips a beat,
I wonder how you feel,
But if I really knew,
Would I take the risk?

When you look at me,
You look right through me,
To you I’m a smokescreen,
I’m not really there.

One day I happen to come across you,
It seems as though,
You found someone new,
I wish you good luck,
Not wanting you to know,
My hearts breakin’ inside.

Days, weeks and months fly by,
And yet I still I love you,
Like I once did,
Should I chance moving on?
But what happens if you really see me?
Not just a smokescreen.

You look at me,
I look away,
That’s how the outside world sees us,
You and Me.

Look away love...

Hearts desire ~ almost abandoned ~ is there still a spark - to light the way through this smokescreen?

~~

Relationships are such a tough nut to crack; opening to love also opens to pain.
