You broke my defences, you defeated my reason
Like a sinner repenting, I was awed by your grace
Like a child abandoned, I clung to your promise
My heart, once a captive, was freed by your face

You are my true lover, you’re the bringer of sunshine
No matter the season, our summer remains
You are everlasting, as our passion or memories
Two souls in Heaven, two lovers aflame

Like the lamb to the pasture, like the rain to the river
Like the heartbeat needs rhythm, so I was drawn to your arms
There is no distance between us, let us defy the seasons
Come take my hand love, embrace our new day
