I always thought there was something I could have done to ease my lil man's pain
Constantly taking the blame for this ugly and hot burning flame that came because you wanted to play games
You should be ashamed to have a daughter who barely knows your name
And even when you came to our domain, nothing had changed- you were still the same
After all this crying and denying, I was trying to justify why you weren't mine- with thoughts of wanting to die
I stayed strong and optimistic that our kids wouldn't be another statistic
You just don't get it and I know one thing- I will NEVER forget it
A lil boy up crying at night with his mom there to comfort and hold him tight
Because at night, when we would fuss and fight, he knew in his heart that something wasn't right
You became a boogieman- full of nasty remarks and crazy demands
Hard to understand how a man ran and began a grand slam holding another woman's hand
I'll take on two roles because my kids know that mommy won't go and that I'm here to watch my babies grow
The cutest lil kids with smiles that glow
I just want to know- Do you ever cry or deny as to why you chose to say good-bye?
