Your Own Destiny

When you're busted up, discouraged,

and your heart torn up inside,

and you're thinking to yourself,

"I wish I had a place to hide."


When you've all but lost the courage,

to face this crazy world alone,

And there's not a single day,

that you're glad to call your own.


When you feel the earth below you

moving swiftly and giving way,

When you think, "why should I bother?"

for you're lost of words to say.


When you think of your tomorrows,

and your not too thrilled at all

And you feel so disappointed,

when everytime you rise, you fall.


When you see you do no more

then spin in circles all the time,

And you end up disbelieving,

that life has reason or has rhyme.


When you lose sense of direction,

and not too sure what you should do,

And you loose your faith in others,

because hearts are never true.


Well, the best that I can figure,

so to change the way you feel,

Just live the truth inside you,

for you know what truth is real.


Don't give your trust to others,

you have nothing then to lose,

And the only road you're walking,

is the only one you choose.


Then if your life be nothing,

you've just yourself to blame.

And the one who's disappointing,

is the one who bears your name.
