From limbs they hang
swaying in a breeze

long gray strands
growing from the trees

like an old man's beard
they're long and soft

these trees full of
old spanish moss

They're an aid to shading
the bright sun's blister

hanging moss that looks
like a tree's whiskers

where have all the old beards gone?

they hang from limbs,

long and gray,

shading the belly of a tree.

and somewhere, mossy men

tug curiously

at their spanish whiskers.

You know I love your work

my friend, but then apparently

i'm a gusher!...lol

but i really like the feel of this

and it flows beautifully.

Thanks for the ZMP,

~ Jenn

I love the visuals and the simplicity of the work. Something missing though in the last line. I would rework it. It lacks the power of the rest of the poem. Otherwise a wonderful ZMP again my friend

Looking the real

with eyes youthful fresh

but I still like my thought from the thread
