"Hey, I said stop!"
Jack ignored him and bolted for the wall, cursing for the umpteenth time tonight. This was why he didn't like October. Cops were always at their worst during this month with all the crazy idiots and boozed up teens and morons running around at the end of the month. Jack made it to the wall and took a step up on it.
He pulled himself over, where Elassa was waiting for him. Her eyes had some kind of illumination, because they shone neon green even though the moon was at her back. She winked at him and then hopped off the wall.
Jack dropped down on the side facing the street and ran home, shirtless, shoeless, and out of breath. He really hoped he had done the laundry. He was probably going to drop dead at the door at this rate. He glared at the succubus floating an inch off the ground next to him, happy as a clam.
Elassa had a smirk on her face the entire way home.
