Choices Ch. 03

"I want what my parents have." she said almost as though she were reading from a script. "I want the kind of love and partnership that can walk through hell and back and still survive." she smiled fondly. "I want to find the one woman that I know will over look my faults and find all my flaws completely adorable. I mean, I know that not all relationships are perfect all the time, but I want the person that's willing to give it their all, ya know?"

"Yeah. That makes sense." I nodded, in my usual understanding way. I couldn't help my sudden discomfort. Talking about the future only served as a bitter and painful reminder that I was married and I did not want to think of that. Especially not when I was sitting in bed naked with a woman with whom I'd just, yet again, broken my wedding vows with. "I'm getting really tired Hailey." I yawned lazily. If I couldn't avoid the conversation, I'd just bring an end to it.

"I imagine you are." she smiled sympathetically, leaning down to kiss my fore head lightly before stretching out fully next to me. "Try to get some sleep Kitten. I'll make you a big deliciously unhealthy breakfast when I wake up." she assured me, turning onto her side to mold the back side of her body snuggly to my chest.

"Sounds good." I sighed, instinctively spooning her slim body. Easing my arm over her waist, I drew her even tighter up against me. I couldn't seem to stop the amazement that filled my tired mind at the thought of how perfectly she fit against me.
