Demonic Submission Ch. 17byTheLastChaosLord©
Hello again all.
I've gotten a few notes back about the editor thing and I'm working through them. As I've said before I'm looking for an editor to check over my work before I post them. However I'd prefer someone who posted their own stuff as well, just so I can read over some of yours to get an idea of your own work.
Call me silly but it is just something I wish to do. *shrug*
Note, for those of you who have been waiting... this is a chapter with erotica in it. Most of it is near the end but yea. Sig is introduced in this chapter, though I assure you he won't be a key player in the story by any means.
Further, we see a darkness beginning to stir in Celestine in this chapter. Note, that this is not necessarily going to be who she becomes, but is far more likely her acting on an instinct or urge. You'll have to read to come to your own conclusions. =)
As Always, I'm open to comments and suggestions.
Hope you all enjoy.
Celestine gently pulled Rena's hair back as she straitened it out, pondering exactly how she should braid it. Rena for her part was actually being still... relatively speaking... Rena was so excited she was almost vibrating. "Jeez, calm down huh? It's not such a huge deal you know." Celestine said, her voice amused at Rena's excitement.
"I can't!" Rena whined happily. "This is the first time someone has ever done this with me."
Celestine frowned. "Really? This is the first time you've let someone else do something with your hair?"
Rena nodded. "Yea. Before master took me in I didn't really care what I looked like. Because of that I tended to just sheer my hair as close to my head as possible to keep it from getting in the way. It tended to end up matted and all unkempt."
"It's hard to imagine that." Celestine responded. "You have such beautiful hair." She said as she let Rena's glossy black hair run through her fingers.
"Thank you." Rena said happily. "I worked hard to get it to where it is now. It is surprisingly difficult given how often I get covered in gore. Blood and Gore tend to ruin one's hair if just left to sit." Rena said before chuckling lightly.
Celestine could only shake her head and smile at Rena's comments. Somewhere in the back of her mind she knew she should have been horrified by Rena's comments, but Celestine simply couldn't bring herself to be concerned about it. It was just a quirk of Rena's that she had come to accept. "I imagine it would be problematic." Celestine admitted. "However, I think it's time to get to work, so try to be still for me please?" Rena nodded and did her best to be still. Not something she was terribly good at but she tried regardless.
Celestine worked slowly and carefully. She didn't mention this to Rena, but she wasn't exactly accustomed to this sort of thing either. She had only helped her other friends with this sort of thing two or three times before. Still, she managed well enough. By the time she was finished, Rena had a braid about a foot in hanging down her back. Celestine had left her bangs and some of the hair above her brow untied to give her a freer look but otherwise she was finished. When she asked Rena to look at it in the mirror, she almost jumped in joy, apparently quite happy with it. It wasn't entirely dislike the look Rena had when Celestine first met her, but different enough for Rena to be pleased.
Rena was about to utter her thanks when both she and Celestine heard him in their heads. ("We'll be leaving in an about an hour. I would recommend getting ready.") It was Tristan, and Celestine expected Claude would have heard it as well as anyone else who might be going with them. Both the women smiled to each other before Rena bounded off to get dressed and Celestine headed for her own closet as she pondered what she should wear for this little outing. She wondered what Tristan would wear and how she could match, before she mentally slapped herself. She wasn't his date... she didn't need to match...
Tristan sat calmly in what could only be described as a throne in the meeting hall. It was here that he would entertain large groups of demons who owed him fealty or accept new oaths. It was in this chamber that he seemed most like a true lord, raised on a dais to look to those who knelt to him. However today the chamber was not full of his allies and servants... Today it was simply him, Claude, and three demons that seemed utterly at home in the low light of the dimly lit chamber.
He had sent his message out to Celestine and Rena, letting them know to be ready soon. With them occupied he knew he wouldn't be disturbed as he issued orders to others in his employ... The three demons in front of him were demons of darkness and shadow... Each of their bodies seemed to exude a visible darkness around them, keeping their actual forms obscured and difficult to see. All three of them knelt in front of him, their hazy forms shifting in some non-existent wind... They were waiting for their orders... These were Terrorgiest... Demons of envy and wrath... specialized in terror and stealth tactics.
"Today I will be taking my new mortal servant out. She'll eventually be allowed to break off from me while I conduct other business. You are to follow her, and ensure that she doesn't try to flee or seek help. She is not to be harmed, but if others hear of her plight report it and then see that they are dealt with appropriately. Rena will be with her, though she will not know of your involvement. I will remind you that if she detects you and thinks you are a threat she will strike... Rena doesn't tend to ask questions first... She just simply acts. Even if all three of you were to try and take her I doubt you would survive so be cautious. Otherwise, you are not to interfere." Tristan instructed calmly.
When he was finished the three creatures in front of him bowed slightly before replying in an eerie unison. "Yessss our lord." Their voices were like the whispering of the wind in the dark night...
One of the three however moved forwards and bowed again before speaking. "What if another demon makes an advance?"
Tristan smiled lightly. This is why he liked the Terrorgiest... They were intelligent. They knew the limits of their power and knew that in a strait on fight with other demons they were rarely a match... But they were smart enough to know how to never engage head on. "Inform me immediately if that occurs. Then proceed to harass the demon in question until Rena or I can deal with it directly."
The lead Terrorgiest nodded once more and then slid back in line with the others. All three of them understood their orders and Tristan knew they could adapt to unforeseen circumstance. It was then that he laid out a very specific circumstance in which they were not to interfere...
Claude listened and couldn't help but smile in pride to his master's plans... It was a long shot to be sure... and it did require that Celestine take certain actions herself... but if it did pan out, the grip his master had on Celestine would only tighten further...
Tristan waited out front with Claude and Rena just in front of the car that would be taking them to their destination. They waited for Celestine and her hour had almost expired. Tristan glanced to Rena and Claude and approved. Claude was, as ever, dressed in the attire of a butler, regal and dignified. Rena had donned her attire as a maid once more, though he was pleased to see it was slightly less provocative then the version she wore around the mansion. The dress was actually long enough to hide her legs and her chest and midriff where actually covered. The outfit was still very form fitting however, and revealed every curve of her body with ease...
It was as he was looking to Rena that he saw the look of awe spread across her features as she looked up towards the house... Turning to look himself he saw Celestine stepping down the stairs towards himself and the car. He had to admit, it was difficult not to gape. She was wearing one of John's dresses, and it complemented her perfectly. It was a pale blue dress that hugged her body nicely. It ran to just above her knees and rose up just above her bust line, showing off her bosom without being indecent. It was shoulder-less, but Celestine wore a short jacket that was a darker shade of blue that covered her shoulders and wrapped around her a few inches below the upper hem of her dress. All told Tristan found it hard not to stare as she strode down the stairs calmly.
Celestine saw how Tristan looked at her and she felt her chest tighten. She could see that he thought she was beautiful in this, and as much as she knew this was more meant for a night out or something, she wanted to try it, and had wondered how he would react. However as she reveled in how he watched her, she chastised herself. She knew she shouldn't get excited about such things... but despite that she couldn't help it. She could feel his approval through the mark, which made it harder not to bask in it...
At the same time she couldn't help but notice his dress. As always Tristan favored a rougher look. He wore a black suit jacket and pants, though he did not button the jacket up. His undershirt however was a dark red, and she couldn't help but realize it complemented the color of her own clothes... Celestine had to bite back a curse... She didn't want them to look like they were dressed to match or complement each other at all, yet it seems that is what happened... Regardless she reached the bottom of the stairs and looked to Tristan as calmly as she could. "Shall we be off?" Tristan gave her one last look over before nodding and opening the door for her. Celestine climbed in, but couldn't suppress a smile as she noticed Tristan eyeing her over once more before closing the door...
Within moments they were on their way and Celestine smiled lightly as she looked out the window. It was a sunny day and the world was warm and vibrant. Taking a breath to steady herself, Celestine turned to Tristan, about to speak. However, she found that he was already looking to her. His features calm but clearly admiring. She felt herself blush slightly and eventually stammered out. "W-What?" As soon as the word escaped her lips she felt foolish... It just put on display how embarrassed she was as he watched her.
Yet despite painting herself a target, Tristan responded with easy calm. "Forgive me for staring. It is just that you painted such a lovely picture... looking out at the window as you were."
Celestine felt herself blush harder and looked away from him. She had planned to talk to him and had the conversation sorted out in her head before hand... But before she had even gotten a chance to speak he had flustered her and ruined it all... She risked glancing to him again and found that he was still watching her... a slight smile on his features. It wasn't mocking, but he was clearly enjoying the sight of her as she wallowed in her own embarrassment. Forcing such things down she turned to look at him again. "We need to talk." She announced simply.
"Oh?" Tristan replied. "The last time we talked I do recall you declaring that I was a manipulative monster." Tristan didn't seem offended or to be holding a grudge... if anything he spoke as if amused.
"That's because you are. You ruin the lives of almost every human being you come into contact with." Celestine said without hesitation. She saw that his smile grew at her words, as if pleased that she could say such things with an easy voice. Still she continued. "But that isn't the point. What I wanted to talk to you about was... well... money. You took away my purse when you abducted me, and Claude has told me that it has been 'disposed of'. Which means, practically speaking, I am currently penniless." Celestine finished simply.
Tristan looked to her and considered her words before realizing her point... "Which would make buying anything or even doing anything at the mall essentially impossible...?"
"Correct..." Celestine confirmed. She looked to Tristan calmly but clearly expectantly.
Tristan looked back and after a few moments couldn't help but chuckle. "I am sorry." He said between his moments of laughter. "I've never done this before so I never thought about that." Celestine raised her eyebrow slightly confused by his words and he continued a moment later. "What? It isn't common that I bring mortals out for Lunch or anything like this."
Celestine shook her head slowly. "Whatever... Listen, if you are actually letting me go out and giving me the opportunity to enjoy myself, I'll need money to do so... Believe me, I despise having to ask you, of all people, for money. But it is what it is, so are you going to give me some cash or not??" Celestine looked to him firmly, and she saw him smile lightly but he nodded once.
"Indeed. I understand the situation. I will happily give you some spending money after dinn-"
Celestine cut him off. "No. Now or never."
Tristan looked to her confused and surprised by her assertiveness. "Oh? And why is that?"
"I am not your date, companion or anything that could be considered anything like that... Remember? I'm not going to be seen holding out my hand for money from you like I'm some trophy girlfriend who gets her allowance or any bullshit like that. You may have taken just about everything from me, but I still have some pride left after all..." Celestine's eyes were sharp, daring Tristan to argue with her.
Claude chuckled from up front and murmured, "Well said."
Tristan cocked his head slowly to her and smiled once more... Celestine only glared back meeting his eyes coldly. Eventually he looked away and reached into his jacket, pulling out a wallet. Celestine watched as he pulled about 750 dollars and offered it to her. Despite her demands Celestine had trouble simply taking the money... She could feel he was intrigued by her demands and her stance on things... She hesitated though... even if others didn't see this she knew what was happening... Still, she steeled herself and took the money, folding it neatly and slipping it into the inside pocket of her jacket. The amount surprised her as well... Tristan wasn't a penny pincher at least...
Despite the fact that she knew she didn't exactly have a choice, she still felt dirty for accepting his money... And she knew he could see that too. He wasn't smug about it, but she felt his satisfaction at what probably was perceived as a victory over her. Still, eventually he looked away and Celestine sighed inwardly. She had done it... Despite the disgust she felt towards herself, she had done it. She gave him the opportunity to seize ground and he took it without hesitation... One more step towards earning her weapon...
However she was startled when he spoke up again. "Given that we seem to be having a civil enough conversation... There are a few things we need to discuss before we arrive as well."
Celestine looked to him suspiciously. "Such as?"
"Well, behavior for one." Tristan began but before he could continue Celestine spoke.
"I know how to behave at a high end restaurant Tristan." Celestine tried to keep the sharpness out of her tone though she was only partially successful.
"That wasn't what I was talking about. I have no doubt that you know how to conduct yourself amongst the upper crust Celestine. What I was referring to was after we've finished the meal and you've taken your leave and go out to enjoy yourself." Tristan was patient in his words, ignoring her sharp voice. Celestine signed lightly and realized it was probably too much to expect that there wouldn't be some regulation placed on her... Tristan continued. "This will largely be to protect yourself and others. First... don't tell people about myself or demons at all for that matter. This includes informing others about your situation and how you are my reluctant guest. Second, do not try and flee... Even if you did manage to get out of the city I'd still be able to find you. And Third... try to enjoy yourself." He finished, his voice becoming soft by the end.
Celestine looked to him surprised and slightly embarrassed. "Why the hell would you care if I enjoy myself or not?"
Tristan smiled. "Because tomorrow the Sovereign's court will be beginning... For three days we will be in the heart of demonic influence for this entire coast... I imagine you'll see things that will harrow your soul as well as excite it... I wanted to give you an opportunity to do something... 'Normal' before the court begins." Tristan explained simply.
Celestine looked to Tristan, surprised further by his words... She didn't realize that she was going to be going to the court with him... but beyond that she was surprised that he was giving her this opportunity. Like giving her a moment to breathe deep before diving underwater... "I'll... try." She finally said, though she couldn't look at him while doing so... Again her heart clenched in her chest and she had to force back unwelcome feelings.
Celestine entered the restaurant along side Tristan, with Rena and Claude following just a few steps behind. As they approached the front counter, Claude stepped forwards and spoke with the waiter there, who stood slightly stunned at the four of them. Celestine expected it was uncommon for the waiters and servers to see someone bring their own help in with them... Still, it seemed Tristan had organized a reservation ahead of time, and the waiter brought them to a private room. Tristan brought Celestine inside and they sat in the large booth that dominated the room. Celestine could hear Claude asking to speak with the manager while Rena stood sentry out in front of the door. She had to admit it was very odd. But within a few moments it appeared that the manager was talking with Claude and agreeing to various conditions he was laying out.
"Is all this... really necessary?" Celestine asked Tristan
"Hum? Oh all the formality and closed doors? I am afraid so. We are meeting with a servant of mine, and while it is unlikely, the topic of demons may come up. To have that discussed in the open is unacceptable. It isn't a bother to the restaurant; they are accustomed to such clandestine meetings." Tristan explained calmly.
Celestine frowned. "What do you mean? Is this a hang out for demons?"
"Oh nothing so grand. Local high rollers come here often to eat and 'mingle'... But beyond that, high level Criminal elements tend to meet here as well. They appreciate a level of privacy as well. Or so I am led to believe anyway." Tristan said jokingly, and Celestine wasn't sure if he was serious about the criminals or not... Though given that this wasn't the only room like this in the restaurant, she wouldn't be surprised if what Tristan was saying was true.
She was about to ask when a knock on the door interrupted her. A moment later the door was opened by Claude. "Mr. Siegfried Rochman has arrived at the front my lord." Claude reported and Tristan nodded easily.
"Good. Please see him in Claude." Tristan replied and Claude disappeared again as the door closed once more. Tristan turned to her. "As I said, Sig is a servant of mine, but unlike you he only bears the First Mark. He knows about the others but so far I've not given him anything more then the first, though I know he desires more."
Celestine nodded once but didn't get a chance to speak up when Claude knocked again. Within a moment the door was open and man in his early thirties stepped in carrying a small briefcase. Celestine had to admit he was somewhat handsome. He had a strong chin and fairly toned body. However, beyond that, Celestine could see his own mark... It was hidden under his clothes, but she saw the faint glow of the Demonic mark imprinted on the flesh of his shoulder. Sig stepped in and smiled to Tristan while bowing his head some but was surprised when he looked at Celestine. She saw the spark of lust shine in his eyes for a moment before he looked back to Tristan as the door closed behind him.
