The next morning, Kylie awoke slowly, lifting her head to glance at the clock, which showed it was almost nine in the morning, later than she'd intended to get up, having forgot about setting an alarm after the previous nights fun. Kylie made her way downstairs to her car and set off on the long drive, her driver waiting for her and closing the door, Dannii gazing out of the window as the silver Audi pulled away down the road and out of sight.

During her long car journey, which soon left the city behind and wound into the beautiful countryside, Kylie took care of some business by phone, chatted to her driver and listened to some music, wondering what awaited her at this castle. She didn't even really know what state it was fully in, details were a little vague. She couldn't even work out why someone would just leave her a castle, it was really bizarre. As she got within a few miles of it she could see it standing majestically against the skyline, dominating the surroundings, certainly secluded and quiet, a nearby town just close enough. Drawing up to the front, an estate agent was waiting for her, having been arranged to meet her and show her the place when she'd called to let people know she was coming to check it out. Stepping out of the car daintily, Kylie smiled to him and extended a hand.

"Afternoon, I'm Kylie," she said politely, stepping to him, shaking his hand.

"Hi there, let's get going shall we? It's a big place, and don't want it to be getting dark do we?" he said, glancing at the slightly cloudy sky. It was going on late afternoon, since Kylie's drive had been long, it was nearing five in the afternoon now.

"It's not late yet, it'll be light for hours," Kylie said a little perplexed, following him anyway as he headed towards the front door.

"Yeah I suppose so," he said, giving another glance to the overcast sky, then to her.

"What's the matter, what's wrong with this place at night?" Kylie probed, curious and sceptical now.

"Nobody comes here at night," he said after a pause, then quickly continued. Kylie didn't ask any further questions, following him carefully, her mind slowly pondering the information she'd been given, wondering what spooked him so much about the nighttime here. She wondered whether he was a little awestruck by her being there, it was hardly out of the question after all, but didn't say anything and followed, stepping through the large oak door at the front of the castle.

"I've been told to just give you a basic tour, the main things, and the rest is for you to explore yourself," he said, closing the door behind her as she looked round the large entrance lobby.

"Sounds a rather funny order to be given?" she said, not looking back to him as she took in the oak beams, giving great character to the interior furnishing, making it more like a manor than a castle, given some warmth.

"I'm just following my instructions miss," he said, pausing before leading the way into the rest of the castle. He proceeded to give her a tour of the main features, starting upstairs. He showed her the bedrooms, the main one was huge with an equally huge queen sized bed, and an adjacent en suite bathroom that was almost as big, something she loved the idea of, especially the large bath to luxuriate and play with Dannii, just smiling a little at the idea. She saw it also had a balcony and pushed the doors open to step out, giving a little gasp as she stepped out into the fresh air, the breathtaking view spread out before her, the large estate, it's fields and woodland, a river towards the back of its land and the landscape beyond. After a moment to enjoy it, Kylie headed back in, closing the doors and following the young man downstairs, noting as she passed that one of the doors was closed, and locked when she tested the handle.

"So what happened to the previous owner?" Kylie asked as they went down the stairs, holding the polished wooden banister, sliding her hand along it. He gave a glance back, looking a little uncertain.

"Um I'm not sure, I'm just sent here for legal reasons," he said quickly, increasing his pace a fraction more.

"Well I just wondered, since you live round here. Why would someone just leave me a castle?" Kylie mused, her boots thumping as she walked across the floor.

"Who knows, not for me to judge," he said, which she thought was a slightly odd statement, but let it be as he showed her the huge kitchen. She rarely had time to cook, but if she could get the time to escape here she figured she could indulge that a bit more, learn a bit more of it as well, give Dannii something nice to eat, beyond what she normally offered she thought with another smile to herself. The agent noticed it a little and gave her a inquisitive glance as he lead her to the main lounge room, which was also luxurious and looked very comfortable before he showed her out onto the raised patio over the garden where she could get up close to the beauty of it, smelling and almost feeling it.

"It's beautiful," she murmured, strutting down the steps to the grass and gazing around with a smile, pondering what nice summers days would be like here. It was open but so secluded, no chance anyone could overlook her or sneak a peek, giving her a cheeky idea for a bit of nude sunbathing sometime, just because she could. She kept the thought to herself though and glanced to her watch, noticing how long the "short" tour had taken, nearing six thirty in the evening now, the agent looking round a little unsettled as the sun began to sink in the west. He led her back through the large castle to the lobby, Kylie glancing round, very satisfied with what she'd seen. Kylie glanced at the agent, having not had much more than a polite, out-of-the-box smile, showing complete indifference to her as far as she could tell. It was a little unsettling, since people usually gave her some kind of reaction, but kind of refreshing since it meant they could get on with what she was here for and not answer any awkward questions.

"Right. I'll stay here tonight I think," Kylie said simply with a smile, feeling good about the castle. The young man almost tripped over his own jaw in amazement and surprise, waiting as Kylie stepped outside to ask her driver to bring her overnight bag in from the car. He did that for her, which she thanked him for and explained she was staying for the night and he could go, she'd call him if she needed him and gave him a peck on the cheek. He gave her his polite goodbyes and headed out, before Kylie asked to be shown back to the bedrooms since she hadn't got her bearings just yet. He showed her upstairs to the bedrooms, Kylie immediately selecting the main bedroom with its magnificent queen sized bed, and since this was her castle now this would be her room. Walking into it, she ran her hands over the smooth sheets, feeling them between her fingers, leaning down to sniff it slightly, noticing they were fresh and clean, having been changed recently. She had no idea by whom, but it meant the bed was fine for her to sleep in for the night, which she looked forward to after her long journey.

"Ok this is fine," Kylie said with a smile, sitting on the edge of the bed.

"No problem, I just need to get you to sign a form saying all this is acceptable et cetera and I'll give you the keys," he said, holding up his documents.

"Ok then, lead the way," Kylie said with a smile, and followed him downstairs. They found a room with a table and Kylie quickly read the document, which was a simple preliminary form to confirm she'd been there and was fine with potentially taking ownership pending anything else and so on. She signed it and handed it back to him, and in exchange he handed her a small bunch of keys.

"There we go," he said as he handed them over, tucking the signed form into his documents.

"Thanks for all your help," Kylie said, showing him out of the castle, now having enough direction to get to the front door and back, not needing to rush the agent since he was doing that enough himself, clearly creeped out now, making her wonder again as to why.

"No problem miss Minogue, have a good night," he said, and then practically scurried to his car, hopping in, turning the headlights on and driving swiftly away into the night. Kylie was still a little perplexed and figured he was just superstitious or something, closing and locking the door. Walking back into her new castle, she looked round at the interior properly, noting the solid oak beams and other woods that gave it a warm feel, inviting her to relax and feel secure. Sauntering back through the ground floor, she made her way to the kitchen, locating one of the things that really mattered to her: A kettle. Going on a little adventure through the cupboards Kylie found herself a mug and some tea, realising there probably wasn't any milk. She checked about and found a large fridge, opening a door that was taller than her, and seeing it quite well stocked with milk in the door. Kylie was a little suspicious, taking the bottle and tentatively sniffing it to check it was all right, which it seemed to be.

She finished making her tea and headed back to the main lounge, settling herself into a delightfully squashy armchair and finding her phone. Flipping it open, she flicked down through her contacts and found Dannii's number, pressing dial and waiting before it started to ring.

"Hello?" Dannii said, Kylie marvelling just how sexy she sounded right then over the phone.

"Ooh hello, who's this? Is that the sexy weathergirl I ordered?" Dannii purred with a giggle, playing along.
