They were a dusty pink color, full and kissable open slightly in her sleep. He knew it was now or never. Leaning towards her, Connor planted his mouth firmly on hers. He could hear the roar of the blood rushing through his ears and his heart pounded a statacco beat in his chest.
Her lips were silky soft, a little dry but incredibly sweet. It was the lightest of kisses, but it ignited a fire somewhere deep inside his body.
Connor reluctant left the warmth of her mouth, pulling away but not before drawing her body closer to his. Stroking her hair softly, he thought about what just happened. Maybe there was a line. Maybe he did cross it. But for now, at least he was going to enjoy being in the moment.
He wasn't sure what was going to happen with Angie in the future. Even as he drifted off to sleep his mind wouldn't let him forget one thing: this was just the beginning of their story.
