Finding His Mate... Ch. 03byprettyinpink32©
Madison woke up out of her sleep when she heard a banging noise coming from somewhere in the house. Trying to focus on her surroundings, she looked around her room. "What the hell?" Remembering everything that happened the day before, she fell back onto the bed. Rubbing her body against Dante's silk sheets, she sighed in content. 'What am I really doing?' she thought to herself. Yes, she is madly attracted to Dante, but what is she really doing putting herself in this situation? She barely knew anything about him and already she wanted to be in a serious relationship with him. She almost had sex with him on his kitchen counter just the other day! Sighing, she got off the bed when she heard the banging continue. Walking out of the bedroom, she turned and walked down the hall, yawning in her hand. She followed the banging, which led her outside to some kind of workshop room of some sort. 'What the hell?' Never in her life had she been to a hotel where the room itself was as big as a house and actually had a garage room in it. Looking inside the see through door, she saw Dante hammering something to oblivion.
Opening the door, she walked behind him. "Dante," she said, tapping him on the shoulder. She waited for him to turn around and was surprised when he continued hammering away as if he didn't just hear her. She noticed a red sticky substance dripping off the bench and became concerned. Walking to his side, she looked up into his face and was surprised to see Dylan. 'Why is Dylan here?' she thought. Instead of seeing the sweet Dylan she was used to seeing all the time, this Dylan had fangs like a bat or vampire and eyes as dark as coal. Feeling herself suddenly became cold, she looked down to what he was banging on and screamed.
Dante shot up from his sleep when he heard a sharp scream come from beside him. Focusing his eyes on Madison's sleeping form, he noticed how her breathing was labored and that she was sweating profusely. Reaching over for her, he pulled her into his arms and cradled her face.
"Madison, baby. Wake up for me." He heard her whimper and felt his wolf immediately became agitated. Whatever was bothering her in her sleep was really starting to bother both him and his wolf. Shaking himself, he cupped her soft cheek into his hand and softly whispered in her ear, "Baby, wake up."
Madison abruptly woke up, startled out of her nightmare, when she heard Dante's voice in her ear. Looking at her surroundings, she focused in on Dante's concerned green eyes and breathed a sigh of relief. 'God that was a weird dream,' she thought to herself. Taking in a deep breath, she ran her fingers through her hair and sighed.
Dante looked down at Madison's startled face and knew that something from that dream was really bothering her. He could feel her debating on if she wanted to tell him or not. 'Well fuck that', he thought to himself. It may be his Alpha attitude coming out, but he was not going to let her not tell him what was bothering her from her dream. Rubbing her cheek with his calloused thumb, he bent down so that he was eye to eye with her. "Are you ok?"
Madison looked into his green eyes and sighed. How could she really tell him what she just dreamed of? He would think she was crazy or something; probably drop her off at home in a second. Then another thought came into her mind, one that she has been questioning all day: Why did she feel so compelled to tell him everything? To tell him how she was feeling and what was bothering her, when any other boyfriend she had barely cared? She looked back into his green eyes and saw that he was really concerned about how she was feeling at the moment and that confused her even more. Why was he so concerned about someone he barely knew? Trying, but failing, to shake all these thoughts from out of her head, she looked into his eyes and smiled.
"Nothing to be concerned of, just a little nightmare that's all," she said, turning her head to the side so he wouldn't see that she was lying through her teeth.
Dante looked down at the side of her head and knew she was lying. Just by the way she was avoiding his eye contact was racking his nerves. He also knew she was starting to over think her feelings toward him again and that bothered him too. 'Why did this have to be so hard?' he thought to himself. Groaning, he turned her head so that she was looking into his eyes. "You know you can tell me anything." Nodding her head, Madison looked over at the digital clock on his dresser and laughed.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to wake you up at four in the morning." Shrugging his shoulders, Dante nuzzled her neck. Pushing his head away, Madison started to laugh. "Stop, Dante. I'm ticklish there."
Dante laughed into her neck and pulled away from her. "Yea? And where else are you ticklish?" Shrugging her shoulders, Madison was about to move away from Dante, but he was instantly tickling her before she could even blink her eyes. Laughing, while unsuccessfully trying to move away from him, she felt herself start to lose her breath.
"Ok. Ok you win. You win."
Smiling with man pride, Dante swooped down and kissed her lips. He brought his hands up to the sides of her face and plunged his tongue deeper into her mouth. He felt that she was holding back from him and bit her bottom lip. "Don't hold back from me," he whispered into her ear. Feeling her try to relax, he ran his hands down the sides of her lusciously curved body. Pulling his lips away, he looked down at her face and felt his cock harden when she bit her bottom lip between her teeth. Placing another sweet kiss on her lips, he rolled off of her before he lost the little bit of control he had left and looked down at her. "You hungry?"
Nodding her head, Madison stretched her body and moaned when she felt her muscles loosen. Although she has not been under a lot of stress, it was stressful enough to control herself from practically raping Dante. She felt herself start to heat up when she thought of him and sighed.
Dante watched as her work shirt rose ever so slightly, showing him her toned, smooth stomach and inwardly groaned to himself. How long was he going to wait before he mated with her? He heard his wolf howling in the back of his mind, demanding that he does it right at this moment, but ignored him. It just wasn't the right time yet. She was not ready for all that mating with him came with. 'Then when will the right time be?' he heard that little voice in the back of his mind ask. Not wanting to answer that question, already knowing the answer, he reached out and rubbed Madison's cheek. "You're beautiful..."
Looking down at her sock clad feet, Madison shrugged her shoulders. "I'm not that special." She looked back up into his eyes and was surprised to see that he was actually being sincere; that he was really serious on how he felt about her. Usually when guys told her she was beautiful, they were only saying it to get something from her. But with Dante, he had plenty of chances to have sex with her, but he never acted on it. That is what was strange to her the most. Why didn't he have sex with her yet? So lost in her own thoughts, she did not even notice that Dante moved above her.
Dante heard all of the thoughts that were swirling through her head and was slightly angered that someone could ever want to be with her just because of her body. Sure he knew nothing about her, but how could someone want to do that? He moved above her and placed his hands on the sides of her head. Looking down into her bright brown eyes, he saw that she really didn't believe him. Not liking that at all, he bent down and placed a kiss on her lips.
"I'm serious." Madison bit down on her lower lip for what seemed like the hundredth time that day and looked over to her side. How was she going to tell him of all the insecurities that she had? Of all the bad relationships she has been through? Sure everyone had history, but how was she going to tell him about her history? Swallowing down the lump that suddenly formed in her throat, she pushed down the sudden emotion to cry and took in a deep breath. 'You have to let go," she kept telling herself over and over again. She looked back into his eyes and smiled shyly at him.
"You're not that bad yourself," she whispered so quietly that he barely heard her. She watched as a slow smile crept across his handsome face and laughed. Swatting his shoulders, she pushed him off of her so that she could get up. "Don't let that get to you head. You're not that special."
Shrugging his shoulders, Dante ran his fingers through his hair. "I told you that you were going to admit it soon or later. You just didn't want to." Laughing, Madison slid off the bed and stretched her body once again.
Dante watched as her shirt rose up once again, this time giving him much more to see, and could not help but feel that hunger rise within him. Swiftly moving off of the bed, he walked over to her, stalking her like a lion to its prey. He stopped in front of her, mere inches away, and smiled when he saw a slight tremor run through her body.
Wrapping his arms around her waist, he brought her body closer to his. He bent down and nuzzled her neck, never getting enough of the scent that was so purely hers: vanilla with a hint of something spicy. He could definitely get lost in her scent forever. Feeling his cock strain against his jeans, he tried to think of something that would distract him from the luscious body that he was holding at the moment. The last thing he needed was to embarrass himself before he got a chance to impress her. Placing a chaste kiss at the juncture of her neck, he pulled back and looked into her lust-filled brown eyes.
"Besides, I like it when you subliminally compliment me. Even when you think I don't notice." Winking his eye, he released his hold on her and turned around. He walked out of his bedroom and down to his kitchen, stopping momentarily to make sure she was following him. He heard her mutter something under her breath and smiled. Turning into the kitchen, he walked to the island in the middle and waited for Madison.
Madison walked into the kitchen behind Dante and shut her eyes as soon as the bright light hit her face. "God those are bright."
Laughing at her comment, Dante walked over to her and looked down. "What would you like to eat?" Madison shrugged her shoulders, not really caring what she ate and watched as Dante turned around and got to preparing whatever they were going to eat. Yawning, she reached her hand up into her hair and groaned. "I look a mess."
Dante turned around and did a once over of her before turning back to the refrigerator. Pulling out some milk, he walked over to the cabinets for bowls. "You don't look a mess. You look beautiful." Taking out a box of cereal, he placed it on the counter with everything else he had and looked over at her.
"Cereal?" Smiling, Madison walked over to the island and sat up on the bar stool. She felt a shiver run up her spine when she looked at the spot where she almost had sex with Dante and mentally chastised herself. 'Down girl.' Shaking herself from her own dirty thoughts, she looked up at Dante, who was looking at her curiously. Shrugging her shoulders, she leaned forward and took a bowl. Pouring herself some cereal, she asked Dante for a spoon and immediately dug into her cereal. She looked up at Dante, who was looking at her with a smile on his face while he ate his own food slowly.
"What?" She asked with a full mouth, quickly swallowing all the contents of her food. Shaking his head, Dante just laughed.
"Nothing love; didn't know you were so hungry. I'm starting to think you were just acting like you liked my food before. Now I am really sad." Laughing, Madison shook her head and looked down at her food.
"You are really crazy. You know that?" Dante looked at Madison innocently and watched as she laughed even more.
Quickly settling down, Madison continued to eat her food until she remembered something. "Oh! I forgot to tell you! My friend said that she knows you." Looking at her curiously, Dante tilted his head to the side, motioning for her to continue. He didn't want to tell her that he had someone follow her home after their encounter at the club and that he knew where Tiffany lived. He definitely didn't want to tell her that he went over there as a way of asking her out. Not only would that make him look like a crazy stalker, but he also had this feeling that she wouldn't like that at all. Focusing back on what she just told him, he looked into her eyes when she didn't continue.
"Who?" Swallowing her food, Madison opened her mouth.
"My friend, Tiffany. She said that she knows your sister and that they are basically best friends. Oh! She also told me that you are very mean." Madison watched as Dante raised his eyebrow and laughed. Stepping down from the bar stool, she walked over and placed her bowl in the sink. "I told her that you didn't seem so mean to me, but then again you can be fooling me." Turning around, she looked over at Dante, who was still looking at her with an unreadable expression on his face, as if he was waiting to hear something that he really didn't want to hear. "Then she went on to tell me that you claimed me, or something like that, and Dylan should watch out and not do anything stupid because of something and something." Waving her hand as if in a dismissive gesture, Madison rolled her eyes. "I really don't know. She made it sound like I was your soul mate or something; who knows?" Madison looked over at Dante, who was still looking at her with an unreadable expression, and felt her stomach drop. 'What did I say wrong?' she thought to herself. She saw his jaw twitch and swallowed the lump that suddenly appeared in her throat.
Dante looked over at Madison and felt his blood boil and it was not because of her. What more did Tiffany say? Although he knew that Tiffany did not mean to say everything on purpose, he never liked her that much because she could never keep her mouth shut; always talking when it wasn't necessary. Shaking himself from his errant thoughts, he was knocked out of them when he smelled how nervous Madison was in the air.
Placing his bowl on the counter, he walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her. Placing a chaste, but passionate, kiss on her lips, he looked into her eyes. "Well I will have you know that I am not a mean man...when I don't need to be." He watched as that smile that he was starting to like splayed across Madison's face and couldn't help but bend down and kiss her lips again. "And as far as Dylan is concerned, he better just stay calm and sane." Releasing his hands from around her waist, he walked out of the kitchen and into the living room, settling down on his couch.
Trying to calm her feelings, Madison followed him. Settling down beside him, she felt his arm wrap around the back of the couch behind her and leaned into him. Looking at the T.V. she watched as he turned on a movie and felt him settle down beside her. She watched as the many scenes rolled by on the screen, but could not help but think of everything that has suddenly happened to her in the past three days. Yes, she was happy that she met Dante, but she still had this undeniable nagging feeling whenever she thought of how fast they were moving. Sure he was being a gentleman, but she never moved this fast with her previous suitors and those relationships never lasted. Just imagine how disastrous this may end. And what about Dylan? Sure he apologized for how he acted at the club, and she forgave him, but she knew from growing up that you should never forget what someone has done to you because, more than likely, they will do it again. Feeling herself getting wound up at the possibility of Dylan wanting to do something harmful to her, or even Dante, she shook herself from her thoughts and settled closer to Dante, needing to feel safe; that's all she wanted right now.
Dante felt her move closer to his body and wrapped his arm around her shoulders. Although he couldn't hear much of what she was thinking, he did get that she was afraid of what Dylan may do to him or her. He liked the fact she wouldn't just ignore her intuition, but he didn't like the fact that she was afraid. She had nothing to be afraid of because he would protect her, even when she thought he couldn't. He felt his wolf demanding that he mate with her at this moment and pushed him to the back of his mind. 'Soon buddy; real soon.' Bending down, he kissed the top of her head and heard her sigh. Yes. He was definitely going to have to mate with her soon because he wasn't going to last much longer
Dylan paced his living room, not knowing what to do. He called Him and He said He would schedule an appointment to meet up with him being as though He was a very important man, but that was not enough for Dylan. That was bullshit if he didn't smell it. Placing his hands on top of his head, he started running his fingers through his now unkempt hair frantically. "I need more; I need more." Settling down in his chair, he leaned forward and placed his elbows on his thighs. Placing his head between his hands, he looked at his blank T.V. screen.
"What am I doing wrong? I try to court her, she denies me. I try to take her out on romantic dinners, she brings that whore of a friend along. I try to tell her openly that I do not like that guy of hers that she is seeing, who she barely knows, and what does she do?! She's stays out with him until all hours of the night, telling me, 'Oh I'll talk to you later.' Not noticing that he started pacing the length of his living room again, he stopped and sat back down on his couch. Groaning, he leaned his head back against the edge of his couch and took in a deep breath. "What am I really doing wrong?" 'Kill him.' Hearing what he thought was someone, he looked around his living room. Seeing that nobody was there, he leaned back against his couch.
"Yes I know that I have to kill him, but how? How do I kill him without making it noticeable that it was me? How do I kill him without revealing what I am?" Feeling a breeze sweep past him, he closed his eyes and took in a deep breath. He felt his feral side pushing to take over his body and let it. Opening his eyes again, he looked up at the television screen and smiled. If someone would walk into his house right now, they certainly would not see the usually Dylan with blue eyes looking at them. No. What they would see was an animal; a demon to many, with eyes as black as coal and fangs much sharper than any animals. Standing up to his full height, Dylan raised his head and smelled the air. He felt his manhood rise when he captured the sweet scent of vanilla.
'You will have to kill him while he is on a date with her. Make it look like some freak accident caused by a bear of some sort,' the demonic voice said to him. Feeling doubt at this plan, Dylan started pacing the room again, letting go just some of his feral side.
"I can't do that. What if Maddy gets hurt? And what if he kills me?! I don't know if you saw him in his Were form, but he is not pretty at all. A true beast to the fullest." Felling his feral side take over him again, he stood up.
'You never even saw him in Were form, so why does it matter? And even if he is a true beast, you are also a true beast with me. We are a true beast when we are together. All you have to do is drug him. Tell that fine piece of ass of yours to go out on a picnic date and give her some homemade lemonade as a potential welcome to the family gift for him. Tell her it is just for him only though. Yes, she may be suspicious, that little brat asks too many questions if you ask me, but she will fall for it. Inside that nice size of lemonade, put some of the drug that He gave you. That will do just what you need it to do." Pacing back in forth again, Dylan started to shake his head.
