Julia and I have remained in our unusual living arrangement for the past five years. Julia keeps telling me she doesn't want to date or have anything to do with other men and has never indicated she had a problem with me fucking other women.
A group of investors has been trying to buy my company and, for the amount they're offering, I'm honestly considering it. Not working for the rest of my life, having more than enough money and time to travel was tempting. I'd take Julia, of course. Even though we'll never remarry because of her betrayal and the freedom I had to fuck other women by not remarrying, I cared about her and still had that tiny spark of love for her. I didn't know what the future held, but I planned to enjoy my remaining days with her.

Ruttweiler3 months agoI’ve noticed in my life that powerful, assertive men, those who succeed by dint of threats and the providing or withholding of resources, don’t inspire much loyalty. They also easily make enemies, often close, but unknown to them.
On the other hand, they often lead exciting lives. As in the celebrated old Chinese curse, “May you live in interesting times!” There’s something to be said for trying to be a decent guy, and living life simply and kindly.
