"Al, maybe one day, we can move to another city where nobody knows us and we won't have to tell anybody we're brother and sister." As she said this, Gen had this look on her face suggesting that she desperately needed to hear me approve of the idea she had just suggested.
"Yeah. After next year I'll be transferring to the university and if you do well enough, maybe you can transfer without finishing you're A.A. degree at the junior college. It'd probably be cheaper for Mom and Dad to rent an apartment for us to share instead of paying for two dorm rooms. Maybe it'll work." I sure hoped it would.
"Wow! How awesome that would be to be able to go to sleep in the same bed every night, wake up together every morning, and not worry about anyone catching us taking a shower together. I'll get a 4.0 my first year if that's what it takes to transfer with you."
Somehow, I knew that she would.
