Don't worry I'll try to get the next update out as soon as possible. Keep the feedback coming and thanks for reading!!!!!!!
Curious Virgin N.O.
Chloe looked down at the man's bruised face and sighed softly. He was still comatose, but that didn't stop her from continuing her story. She turned the page and continued to read Judith McNaught's Double Standards. "Lauren spent the rest of week working like a fiend at the office. At home she alternately thought about Nick…"
Her soft angelic voice filled the quiet hospital room as the man continued to rest. He'd just gotten out of surgery a few hours ago and he was lucky to be alive even if he was in a slight coma. The extent of his injuries included a few cracked ribs, a broken leg, and swelling on the brain. Chloe sighed softly wishing she could see the beautiful eyes that had to exist under the soft red eyelashes. Even though his face was bruised she could still make out the hard lines that probably made all the ladies moan in appreciation. His lips were soft and full and she longed to see what they felt like. She shook her head sending her soft, blond curls array. There was no way she was falling in love with a man in a coma. She turned as Dr. Matthews walked into the room. His rugged face made him seem like he was forty instead of fifty-eight. He smiled at her and shook his head.
"Chloe don't you have a man to go enchant with those eyes of yours?"
Chloe smiled softly. "No Dr. Matthews I'm making sure out patient is comfortable since he's one of the five in ICU."
Dr. Matthews smiled softly. "Well any man should get better with a beautiful woman by their side. Especially a woman who has big baby blue eyes."
Chloe laughed softly and shook her hair. Dr. Jim Matthews always teased her about her eyes because they made her look more like an innocent nineteen year old instead of a woman getting close to her twenty-sixth birthday.
"Dr. Matthews you shouldn't tease."
His hefty laugh filled the room. He walked over to the man and his eyes widened in surprise. Chloe panicked as she tried to figure out what happened. "What is it?"
Dr. Matthews turned to her in shock. "What have you been doing to him?"
"Nothing I just read to him when it's slow or when I'm on my break."
Dr. Matthews smiled softly. "He's doing better…a lot better than expected. It seems like you're his good luck charm."
Chloe sat back in her chair and sighed with relief. "Well they say you should talk to coma patients to help the recovery along."
Dr. Matthews smiled. "Well let's hope he wakes up soon that way he can see the woman that's been by his bedside all this time. Oh and by the way his name is Matt."
Chloe blushed softly and turned back to the man. She grabbed his hand and squeezed softly. "Matt…"
She loved the way his name rolled off her tongue…like she was meant to say it. She smiled and moved her hand away from his. She sighed as she felt the emptiness, but she would be back later. She moved the hair away from his head and touched his lips.
"Wake up soon Matt."
Grace couldn't shake the eerie feeling she had in the pit of her stomach as she drove the car back towards Nathan's home, their home. She looked through the rearview mirror and saw Tyler and Greg sleeping peacefully. She turned to Nathan and had to hold back her laughter at the site. His head was tilted to the side and his mouth was wide open. She shook her head and rolled her eyes. She couldn't believe he needed a nap after eating. She pulled up in the driveway and frowned when she saw the various cars. A woman and man jumped out of the blue Dodge Avenger that sat in front of her. They ran to the car immediately and Grace's sick feeling became worse. She stepped out and they immediately bombarded her with questions.
The woman came up to her and enveloped her in a hug. Grace hugged the woman back not sure what to do. They separated and Grace saw tears in her eyes. Grace shook her head as realization dawned on her.
"Not Matt…please he's okay right?"
The woman bit her lip. "No he was in an accident. And we were waiting on you to go to the hospital."
Grace turned back to the car to wake up Nathan, but he was already standing outside and his hands were pulling at his hair. Tears were running down his face and Grace looked to the back seat. Luckily the boys were still sleeping. The man came around and hugged her.
"I'm Brian and this is Jackie. We're Matt's and Nathan's parents."
Grace tried to smile, but couldn't. "What happened?"
Brian shook his head. "They won't tell us over the phone."
Grace nodded. "Can we go now? To the hospital?"
Brian nodded. He walked over to Nathan and pulled him into a hug. Nathan held onto Brian's shoulders like he was hanging off the edge of a building. Grace wiped the tears that escaped her eyes as she got inside the car. Nathan joined her on the passenger side and looked at her. He reached over and pulled her into a hug and Grace knew what it meant. Thank God I have you.
Steven buried himself deeper into the soft body that lay next to him. He groaned softly as Alexis began to grind her ass into his cock. He growled softly and nipped her shoulder.
"Didn't you get enough last night woman?"
Alexis giggled softly. "I don't think so."
Steven smiled softly and kissed the back of Alexis's neck. "You're lucky it's the weekend or else you'd be calling in right about now."
Alexis turned and looked over her shoulder at Steven. She began to laugh as she looked at him. Steven rolled his eyes and slapped Alexis's ass playfully. "Don't laugh at my bed head okay? I'm very sensitive about that kind of stuff."
Alexis crinkled her nose. "Why do you smell like vanilla?"
Steven leaned into himself and sniffed. He looked at his body as if his body had betrayed him. He looked at Alexis and glared at her as she contained her laughter. "When did this happen?"
Alexis giggled softly. "Well you were sleeping really hard and I just figured you could use a spruce up before round two."
Steven laughed loudly as she gave him her most innocent look. He leaned in and kissed her deeply. "Are you going to fix me breakfast woman?"
Alexis looked at him as if he'd sprouted another head. "You want me to cook breakfast for you?"
Steven arched his eyebrows. "That's usually what happens in those romance movies."
Alexis scoffed. "Well this isn't a movie and you're not those guys from the movie either. You're a cowboy which means you cook the breakfast."
Steven slapped Alexis's ass cheek and slowly massaged the sting away. She bit her lip and arched her back as he dipped his hand in between her legs. "I'll cook breakfast, but only because I love you."
Alexis grinned impishly at him. "I like you too."
He looked at her with mock shock. "Just like?!"
Alexis rose out the bed and shrugged. She ran her hands through her curls and Steven licked his lips. His hands itched to hold her body and he needed another taste of her. Her curls were all over the place and her body was glowing. She looked at him in confusion as he continued to stare at her. She leaned onto the bed and ran her knuckles across his cheek.
"Baby are you okay?"
Steven sighed and brought her face down for a deep kiss. "I am now."
Alexis smiled brilliantly and sashayed slowly to the bathroom. "Get up cowboy I want a full breakfast when-"
"What's that on your back?"
Alexis turned around sharply. "What are you talking about?"
Steven jumped out of the bed and walked over to Alexis. He tried to look around her, but she moved away from him. He grabbed her and pulled her towards him. He turned her around and his vision became red.
"He did this to you?"
Alexis felt her body stiffen as Steven looked at the scars that had been left behind. She shrugged and shook it off. "It's nothing. All that's over now."
Steven looked at Alexis as if she were crazy. She crossed her arms over her body and walked to the closet to throw on a t-shirt. Steven walked over to her. "Why didn't you tell me how bad it was?"
Alexis shook her head. "They've healed now so-"
"That's not the fucking point."
Alexis looked at Steven angrily. "Why do you care Steven? We finally had sex so you should be happy."
Steven ran his fingers through his hair angrily. "Is that what you thought?"
Alexis shrugged. "That's usually how it goes. They say it's okay…the emotional baggage. Then they get what they want and something comes up al of a sudden."
Steven grabbed Alexis and looked deeply into her eyes. "That's not how it is. I would never hurt you like that."
Tears began to pool into her eyes. "You know who else said that? The man who gave me these scars!"
Steven gulped and shook his head. "Don't ever compare me to that bastard."
Alexis looked into Steven's eyes deeply. "Or else what? You'll beat me? Go ahead it's already happened once."
"What the fuck is wrong with you?"
"I don't know maybe the fact that I'm tired of being used. Why do you think I was afraid to tell you in the first place? You say you understand, but you never will."
Steven glared at Alexis. "I'm not using you Alexis. I want to love you, but you're so hell bent on keeping everyone out."
"You want to know why?! Because they leave me in the end. My family…my own mother disowned me after I told her what happened. She said it was my fault that he hit me, my fault that a successful man like Terrence was in prison, my fault that I'd brought shame to the family."
Steven felt his heart break as he saw Alexis sink to the floor as sobs wracked her body. He walked over and tried to put his arms around her, but she threw him off. "We were supposed to have a child, but I was so sick of him cheating on me. I was tired of him coming home drunk and beating me. If I wouldn't have upset him I would've had a child, but instead the child is dead Steven. It's my fault."
Steven dropped to his knees. "No baby none of that was your fault."
Alexis shook her head. "You should leave before I ruin your life too."
"Baby I'm not leaving you like this."
Alexis rose up off the floor and walked to the bedroom door. "Steven I think this was just a one time fling."
Steven shook his head. "Don't do this Alexis. Don't do this to us."
Alexis looked up at him with blank eyes full of tears. She plastered a stiff smile on her face. "I don't think there ever was an 'us'."
Steven felt his heart break in two. He slowly put his clothes on and walked through the door. He felt his soul escape from his body as he walked away from the one person who made him feel real. He turned back and looked at the house that seemed empty. Maybe it just wasn't meant to be.
Nathan felt his heart pound in his chest as he sat in the waiting room. He'd been sitting in this room for about an hour while his parents had gone to sit with Matt. He turned to look at his nephews as they sat in the chair comforting one another. They'd been exhausted and the news of their father did nothing to help them. Nathan would've never taken the boys to go crazy. Tyler was the most upset. He practically attacked the doctor trying to get inside the room to see his father. Greg tried to sneak around the doctor while they were occupied with Tyler, but he was pulled away along with Tyler. Tyler seemed older as he tried to cheer his brother up. He smiled softly as he thought about the many times Matt had calmed him down. Whether it was the occasional bad grade or the fact that he'd snuck a girl in the house. Matt had always been there for him, but now he felt like a failure. This was the time Matt needed him the most and he felt like there was no way he could help the man. He looked up and his eyes connected with Grace's soft brown eyes. She smiled at him and Nathan couldn't help but to smile back. She walked over and sat in his lap. She curled into his body and looked into his eyes deeply. He watched as her elegant hands began to move slowly.
Are you okay?
Nathan nodded. Yes I'm fine sweetheart. I'm just worried about the boys.
Grace smiled. They're doing well. As soon as your mother and father come back I'm going to take them in there.
Nathan smiled. That's good. I'll wait until everyone has seen him and then I'll go check on him.
Grace sighed. I'm just glad he's stable and he's alive. I couldn't imagine them losing someone else like that.
Nathan nodded. It would've killed them.
They turned to look at the boys. Grace motioned for them to come over and they nearly bombarded her. They all bundled on top of Nathan's lap and snuggled together. Grace held the boys in her arms as if their lives depended on it. Nathan looked at the site they made and he smiled softly. He felt himself crave to see Grace swell with his child. Her body soft and round as she carried the life of their child. He brushed her hair away and kissed the top of her head. He watched as they slowly drifted to sleep. Tyler was crooked in his arm while Greg was curled into Grace. He grinned and looked at the identical way the boys slept. They both had a hand pushed through their hair and had wrapped the other one around their stomachs. Nathan closed his eyes and drifted into the sleep that beckoned to him with open arms.
