It's Time Ch. 07bysecrecy456©
I'm sorry it took so long for this update, but I'm kind of in the middle of finals. But don't worry as soon as I'm done I'll probably be writing nonstop. Thanks to everyone for being patient and I'm trying not to take so long. Thanks for reading and keep the feedback coming.
Curious Virgin N.O.
Alexis slid down the wall and sat there. Her body was numb as she dazed into the emptiness of the room. She ran her hands over her body and shook her head as she felt tears pour down her face. She rose off the floor and walked to the mirror. She pulled off her t-shirt and gazed at the darker markings that covered her body. She ran her fingers lightly over the run that ran across her hip. She ran her hands over her stomach smiled softly as she remembered the way the baby had moved. Sometimes the child kicked like a bull, but other times he would move and she would smile with wonder. She looked into the mirror and gazed at the reflection that looked back at her. Alexis saw a battered woman who was an emotional wreck. She saw a woman who was trying to pick up the pieces and rebuild herself. Alexis bit her lip and shook her hair as she walked towards the bathroom. She turned the hot water and jumped inside the tub. She grimaced as the hot water burned her skin, but it wasn't hot enough to wash away the pain and hurt she'd faced. She grabbed a washcloth and began to scrub her body roughly, but it wasn't enough to clean away the darkness.
Grace stood looking at Matt connected to the various machines. Tyler and Greg sat on either side of their father in the hospital bed. She held back the tears as Tyler talked to his father.
"Dad you have to wake up okay? We promise we won't complain if you try to hug us. We just need you to wake up."
Tyler held his father's large hand as he rocked back and forth. Greg stared at his father quietly as if he couldn't believe it was true. He laid down and put his arms around his father's neck. He closed his eyes as he squeezed his father tightly. Grace ran her hand over Greg's back as he silently let the tears fall from his eyes. Tyler shook his head and lay across his Matt's stomach. The door opened suddenly and Grace turned to see who the newcomer was. A blond woman stood in the doorway with a book in her hand. She looked at them and began to walk out.
"I'm sorry I'll come back another-"
Grace cleared her throat. "Are you his nurse?"
The woman shook her head. "No…well technically I'm everyone's nurse, but I'm not his personal nurse."
Grace smiled softly. "When will he wake up?"
The woman shrugged. "I've been wondering that myself."
Grace nodded. "Is it okay if the boys lay in the bed with him?"
The woman smiled. "I won't tell if you don't want me to."
Grace smiled and watched as the woman closed the door softly. She turned her attention back towards the twins. She pulled a chair close to Matt's bed and sat down. She looked up to the ceiling and sent up a silent prayer.
Nathan looked at his Brian with tired eyes as he gazed at him. Jackie had her head in Brian's lap and her chest rose softly as she slept. His father smiled softly.
She's beautiful Nathan.
Nathan grinned. Don't get any ideas Brian or did you forget Jackie is next to you?
Brian smiled. Are you okay? Have you seen him yet?
Nathan frowned. I haven't had a chance. Does he look okay?
Brian shrugged. To be coming out of a car accident he looks good. The doctor said he should wake up in a couple of days, but only time will tell. It could be weeks if he slips deeper into the coma.
Nathan ran his fingers through his hair. It shouldn't have happened. If he leaves I don't know what I'll do.
Brian glared at Nathan. Don't think like that. Your brother is strong and healthy. He'll pull through this and he'll be fine.
What if he hadn't made it?
Brian shook his head. Don't think about the if's. He's okay…we're all okay.
Nathan nodded. Brian smiled at his son. So when were you planning on letting Grace out of the house?
Nathan blushed softly. I was hoping to keep her to myself. We were going to run away to Las Vegas and get hitched by Elvis.
Brian shook his head. Where did we go wrong with you? You are the weirdest person I've even known.
Nathan shrugged. Don't hate me because you aren't me.
Brian laughed softly. Where'd you learn that?
The children at the deaf club are teaching me how to be cool. I need to be hip if I'm going to get Grace to spend her life with me.
Brian arched his eyebrows. Is it that serious?
Nathan smiled dreamily. It was that serious when I ran into her.
You're whipped you know that?
So mom's got you whipped.
Brian rolled his eyes. We're married so I'm automatically whipped.
Nathan laughed. That's not what mom says.
Brian frowned. You better watch yourself Nathan. You're not too old to get a whipping.
Nathan grinned impishly. Yes Mighty Powerful One.
Brian shook his head. So have you thought about your surgery?
Nathan sighed. I don't want to think about it.
You only have a couple more months before it's time.
Nathan nodded. I know, but what if it doesn't work?
Is there supposed to be meaning behind that question?
Nathan gave Brian a droll look. I don't think Grace wants to be stuck with someone who's deaf. What if she wants to have kids? I won't be able to help her at all. I'll never hear her voice; I'll never hear our children say their first words.
Brian smiled softly. That's when you know the love is real. But from what I've seen Grace would love you if no matter what. Which says a lot considering you're ugly on top of being deaf. I mean we love you because we're your family, but-
You're real funny dad. You should do comedy tours.
Really? Because I've put a lot of thought into it.
Nathan glared at his dad. You're lucky I halfway like you.
Brian laughed softly as he looked at his son. Brian didn't know what he'd been if he they hadn't adopted Matt and Nathan.
Chloe came opened the door cautiously and glanced inside the room. She saw that the woman and the two boys were gone. She walked over to Matt and sat in the chair quietly. She couldn't believe the man was married with two children, but maybe it just wasn't meant to be. She sat in the chair and watched as his chest rose up and down slowly. She ran her fingers lightly across the rough hair that was beginning to cover his face. She looked up at the monitors and saw that all his vitals were normal.
"You know you should really wake up. You're wife and children are worried about you and I want to at least get a look at what I could've had."
Chloe smiled at her ridiculous request. How could she expect a man to wake up just because she asked him to? She rose out of the chair and walked to the window and watched as the rain washed over the window. She frowned as she heard someone coughing. She turned and saw that the man was still lying in the bed motionless. Or so she thought. He cleared his throat and she gasped as the dry voice entered the room.
"Where am I?"
Chloe almost melted at the deep raspy voice. She shook her head and hurried over to the bed. "You're not supposed to be awake."
Matt turned to her and blinked trying to focus. "What?"
Chloe sighed as she gazed into his beautiful blue-green eyes. "You were in an accident. The doctor thought you were going to be in a coma for at least a week."
His eyes widened in shock. "How long have I been out?"
"About two days. Oh I need to go tell your family that you're awake."
Matt looked in confusion as the woman ran out the room in a hurry. He shook his head and grimaced as he felt pain through his body. A moment later his sons burst into the room and came barreling onto the bed. He felt the tears enter his eyes as he pulled them into his deep embrace. They buried their faces into his neck and he felt the tears fall onto his skin. His mother came in and smiled through her tears, while Brian tried not to cry. He turned and looked at Grace and rolled his eyes at his brother's watery eyes.
What are you crying for?
Nathan laughed softly. I thought I was going to lose your crazy ass. I didn't want to be stuck with the terrible twosome.
Matt laughed. He kissed his boys on the top of their heads. Don't be mad because you know you want them.
Nathan grinned. Yeah I do.
Tyler rose up and looked his father in the eyes. Matt almost lost it again as he saw the pain and hurt deep within those multi-colored eyes. Tyler ran his arm across his nose.
"Don't ever do that to us again."
Matt laughed softly and pulled Tyler down for another hug. He turned his head and looked at Greg who had wrapped himself around his torso. He arched his eyebrow.
"What happened to no hugs?"
Greg shook his head. "This one's a freebie."
Everyone in the room laughed as the boys hogged their father. Chloe stood outside the doorway and smiled softly as she listened to the laughter inside the room. Maybe one day her prince would come along, but for now she was happy with dreaming about him.
Tracy looked at her son as if he'd gone mad. She turned to Charles and received a confused look similar to the one on her face. Steven sat in the kitchen chair facing the sliding glass doors. She cleared her throat.
"Umm Steven is everything okay?"
Charles gruff voice followed close behind. "And why the hell haven't you been at work?"
Steven sighed softly. "You can fire me if you want."
Tracy turned to glare at Charles. Charles shrugged. "What? He has an obligation to his job. I can't run this ranch by myself. We have horses we need to train and horses we need to breed."
Tracy slapped Charles in the arm. "Our son is upset and all you can think about is horses?!"
Charles growled. "Woman get out of this kitchen and let men take care of business."
Tracy gasped in shock and Charles slapped her on the ass. She pointed her finger at him. "Listen here Charles you'll be sleeping on the couch tonight."
Charles shrugged. "You won't be saying that when I get up there to deal with you."
Tracy stomped out the kitchen and towards the bedroom. Charles rolled his eyes and pulled a chair to sit beside Steven. "Okay, son, you have five seconds to tell me what's wrong and then I promise you I'm pulling you over my knee like I used to do. Now what has you worked up enough to skip work?"
Steven shrugged. "Whatever it was I lost it."
Charles looked at him in confusion. "You lost what, a dog?"
Steven shook his head and turned to look at Charles. "How the hell did you get mama to fall in love with you? You know after all the shit that happened?"
Charles took a deep breath. "Steven I'm going to tell you something right now. Women are a race of their own. I've never understood one and I'm not going to try and understand one. See with women you need to follow their lead. Not the other way around. You may think you're in charge of the situation, but she's just waiting to see if you're going to do what she wants you to do."
Steven turned to Charles with confusion. "What?"
Charles rolled his eyes. "Basically your mother was afraid of me in the beginning. She said I reminded her so much like your father-"
"That bastard wasn't my father. He didn't raise me."
"What are you saying, boy? He fathered you."
"He may have fathered me, but he didn't love me like you did."
Charles looked at Steven and smiled softly. "That's as close to an 'I love you' I'm going to get, huh?"
Steven laughed. "Don't put all your eggs in one basket."
Charles laughed. "Now boy back to your mother. I had to force myself in. I had to show her I was nothing like that trash before me. I had to prove to her that I loved her and I would never hurt her."
Steven looked to Charles. "Well how do I do that?"
"Well, well, well my boy is in love. Who's the lucky woman and when do we get to meet her?"
Steven shrugged. "Well considering she threw me out this morning I say you'll never get to meet her."
"Don't think like that. You're a cowboy. We never give up."
Steven smiled softly. "I think I need to go pay her a visit."
"You are going to bring her over here right?"
Steven ran out the kitchen. "Yeah as soon as I show her something."
Charles looked as his son ran out the house. He smiled as he heard the faint rumble of the diesel truck starting up. Charles walked towards his bedroom and found Tracy sitting on the bed straightening the sheets, something she always did when she was upset. He began to kick himself as he thought about the way he treated her.
"I'm sorry baby. I didn't mean to be that rough with you."
Tracy rolled her eyes. Charles walked over to her and pulled her into his arms. "You know you can't be mad at me."
Tracy giggled. "At least I can try."
Charles grinned down at her. "How about I make it up to you?"
Tracy scoffed. "Is that all you ever think about?"
Charles shook his head. "No half of the time I wonder what you taste like."
Charles tackled her to the bed and they landed in a heap of arms and legs. Their laughter filled the large home, but Charles wouldn't have it any other way.
Nathan sat in the middle of Grace's bedroom as she showered. He hated to leave his brother at the hospital, but his parent's nearly threatened him to leave. Nathan rose off the bed and left her bedroom. Of all the times he'd been to her home he'd only seen the bedroom. He walked down the hallway and opened the door. He gasped softly as he saw the different paintings and sketches that hung around the room. He saw the various nude paintings of men and women. He jerked as he felt Grace's hand on his shoulder. She smiled softly at him and he pointed to the paintings.
I like to paint and draw.
Nathan smiled. You never told me.
She shrugged. I never thought you would be interested.
Nathan pulled her to him. I'm interested in everything you do. Do you mind if I volunteer for one of those paintings.
Grace's eyes flared. You could, but I can't tell you when I'll do it. The mood and inspiration strikes me out of nowhere.
Nathan nodded. I understand. You might want to sketch me while I'm burying you into the mattress.
Grace laughed and then turned her head. Nathan felt the vibrations that he assumed as knocking. Grace rushed towards the door and Nathan was close on her heels. She opened the door and a man came through. His body was soaking wet with the rain and the large black Great Dane that followed him was soaking as well. Grace laughed and shook her head as she moved back to allow the man to come in. Grace turned to him with a smiled.
Nathan this is Steven.
He shook hands with the man and smiled softly. He began to sign to Grace causing her to laugh. Steven looked at the two in confusion.
"What did he say?"
Grace smiled. "He said he'll go get some towels for the dog, but you have to stay outside."
Steven smiled. "I need to talk with you."
Grace grinned and turned to Nathan. Will you go wait for me upstairs?
Nathan sighed. I guess, but I might not be up.
Grace grinned. Don't worry I'll wake you up.
Nathan kissed her softly before he turned to walk back to the bedroom. Grace turned to Steven. "What's up?"
Steven sighed. "Well Alexis and I kind of got into an argument. She thinks that I don't want her because of what happened to her."
Grace sighed. "Oh no. I'm guessing she doesn't want you around?"
Steven nodded. "But she's just going to have to deal with me. I'm not going to let her get away this easily."
Grace laughed. "Well I know that. Now what's with the dog?"
Steven smiled. "Well remember when we first met?"
Grace grinned. "Yeah, she had come over to visit and you came stomping into my house demanding I take care of your mutt."
Steven growled. "Ol' Yeller isn't a mutt he's a purebred Great Dane."
"I still don't see why you named that dog Ol' Yeller. He's not even a Golden Retriever."
Steven rolled his eyes. "Will you just get her to come over?"
"Because I want to re-enact the way we met. I want to show her that no matter what I want to be with her."
Grace smiled. "I'll try to get her over here, but if she's upset chances are she won't come over."
Steven grinned. "Do whatever you have to."
Grace walked to the doorway and glanced at the massive truck that sat in front of yard. "Well what are we going to do about that?"
"I'm going to go hide it somewhere and then I'll walk over here."
Grace smiled. "Whatever you say cowboy."
Matt lay in the hospital bed with his sons wrapped around him. He smiled softly as he gazed down at their blond hair. He turned his head towards the door as it creaked open. The woman he had seen earlier came in carrying various snacks and bottles of water. She smiled when she saw him.
"I brought these for your boys."
Matt smiled. "Thank you."
She smiled. "It's no problem. It's my job."
"What's your name by the way?"
The woman smiled. "Chloe."
Matt smiled at the woman as he looked at her. Her soft blond hair fell down her shoulders in waves. Her beautiful blue eyes drew him in and he had to fight for self control over his body. She was so much like Heather, yet she was the complete opposite. The woman tilted her head in confusion.
"Is there anything you need?"
Matt looked into her eyes deeply. There was so much that he needed and he doubted she could help him. "No thank you."
She smiled and walked out the room. Matt was shocked when he heard Tyler's soft voice.
"Dad you should really ask her out."
Matt looked down at Tyler. "What?"
"I like her and she seems nice. I mean she brought us snacks." Tyler rose out of the bed and grabbed the snacks and water. He brought them over to the bed and shook Greg. Tyler was always the one to take care of his twin, no matter what happened. He grinned at Tyler.
"So you think we would be a good match, huh?"
Tyler nodded. "I think she likes you and I like her, so you should like her."
Matt chuckled at his son's reasoning. "That's how it should go?"
"You don't like her?"
Matt frowned. "I like her, she's very pretty. What if she doesn't like me?"
Tyler rolled his eyes. "Dad you aren't ugly. There are a lot of women that like you. Our math likes you."
Matt blushed softly. "How about I think about it?"
Tyler sighed. "I guess, but you need to decide soon. I think it's time that we found a new mom."
Matt bit his lip and kissed his son on the top of his head. "Me too."
Grace walked to her bedroom and opened the door softly. She gasped as she saw Nathan on his back with his legs spread. Of course it didn't help that he was completely naked. His red hair fell across his face in waves. Grace licked her lips as she thought about tasting his golden skin. But she would have to wait for that. She tiptoed out of the room quietly and ran to grab her sketch pad. She came back in and pulled a stool close to the bed. She began to sketch his beautiful body. The hard planes turned into tight ropes of muscle on the paper. She was so intent on sketching him that she didn't notice the mischievous smile on his face. Nathan gazed at Grace as her brow furrowed in concentration. He had to hold his laughter as he looked at her. Her hand moved quickly across the paper as she sketched. Nathan reached down his body and slowly trailed his fingers across his skin. He grabbed his thickening cock and began to stroke himself slowly. He bit his lip and arched his back as Grace stopped to look at him. He smiled at her and arched his eyebrow. Grace moved towards the bed, but Nathan stopped her. He rose out of the bed and walked past her. Grace followed him and frowned. Nathan stopped in front of the glass windows and lay on the floor. Grace shook her head as she began to sign.
