Kate nodded, moaning to punctuate her willingness.
He smiled, "Maybe it should wait until after dinner. Doc will be up in a few minutes."
Kate shook her head frantically, her eyes welling up with tears.
"All right, I'll remove the gag for a few minutes, but if you risk another flogging if you curse," he warned.
The gag removed, Kate suddenly found it hard to say the words she had been planning for most of the afternoon.
"I don't have all day," he snapped, "say it or the gag goes back in until morning."
"Please...Sir," she managed at last, "you win."
"Win what?" he reached up and caressed a red-marked breast.
She winced at the tenderness of her breast, "You win. I won't fight you anymore. I – I won't curse at you. I'll be obedient."
"Why?" he asked, pinching her nipple.
She gasped at the pain, trying to concentrate on the conversation, "Why? You proved you are stronger than I am. I can't fight this."
"Are you going to kneel at my feet of your own will?"
Her head dropped in despair, "Yes."
He lifted her chin with his fingers and looked into her eyes, "Remember this, Kate. If you disobey me, I will have you back here, and it will take more than your word to convince me the second time."
Dinner was served and Kate knelt at his feet, taking bites of food from his hand as silent tears rolled down her face.
