Mystic Angels Ch. 07

Hey all just a few words this series has been such a fun one for me to write, I REALLY didn't realise how much harder it is to write a series other then my usual stories well now that tis series is over I can concentrate on In Love With A Vampire King, which I am sure you all wanted to see what happens (o at least I hope you do lol)

Well I have chapters two and three all ready written and chapter fours is being written, thanks for all the wonderful comments and love it means the world to me.

Last but not least just a few thanks you to a dear friend who has helped me a lot within this series an been a joy to chat with during our emails, Miss Nomoretears you are a fantastic lady and a wonderful friend. And lastly to my first editor Kiten2010 thank ou for all you did to helpme in the first few parts to Mystic angels your where a gem. "Ya!" I screamed as Gio's sword collided with mine. We both pushed away from each other, Gio pacing back and fourth in front of me.

Gio and I where training together. He was helping me prepare for the fight with Theron today.

Panting heavily, I leaned against the wall and said, "I need a minute."

"No, come on Aquila, you need to continue fighting me, Theron won't let you catch your breath and neither will I." And with that he swung his sword.

Ducking from the sword, I moved away and tripped Gio up. I snarled as I climbed on top of him and pressed my sword to his chest.

"Now can we finish?" I asked, panting heavier.

"Yes, now we can finish my love," Gio replied smilingly.

As I stood up my momma walked over to us. She smiled softly and said, "I take it you told him, then."

I nodded and said, "Yes, I told him everything from my birth mother to what Theron had done. Well, I showed him that last part as I couldn't make myself say it."

"I understand, my darling. There is a woman here to see you. I want you to come and talk to her. She has some answers you will most definitely want to hear."

"Who is it, Momma?" I replied as I put my sword back into the weapons holder, as did Gio.

"Just come to the throne room after you clean up a little," she replied.

I nodded and said softly, "I will, Momma." Gio and I left and went to my room and got into the bathing room and showered.

When we stepped out of the bathing room, I sighed and said softly as I began to get dressed I said, "Will you come with me to see this woman, Gio?"

He smiled and pulled his shirt on, then did up his silk trousers. "Of course, my love. I will accompany you anywhere you wish, anytime."

"I like that," I replied playfully as I slipped into my silk trousers and we headed off to the throne room.

When we got to the throne room, I saw a woman standing next to my Momma and Papa. The woman was short, I would say about five foot four, and she had long blond hair down to her waist and light blue eyes. She was dressed in a light blue satin robe which was laced along the arms and left side of the open leg in a silver ribbon. She smiled as she saw Gio and me. As we drew closer to them, my Papa said, "Aquila, I would like you to meet someone. This is a dear friend of mine, her name is Selena."

"Pleasure to meet you, Selena," I said with a slight bow.

"Pleasure to meet you also, Aquila," she replied as I stood back up.

I smiled as I turned to Gio, "This is Gio, my mate."

"Pleasure to meet you," she said

Gio smiled gently and replied, "Lovely to make your acquaintance."

"I will leave you all to talk, my husband," Momma said as she kissed Papa's cheek softly.

Papa nodded and said as he kissed hers, "As you wish my darling, I love you."

"As I love you," she replied as she left us alone.

Papa sighed softly and then he and Selena's eyes locked. I knew something was not right as soon as I saw this but I didn't know what, and to be honest I was not sure I did want to know. Papa nodded and I knew then that Selena had the power of telepathy. She looked at me and smiled gently as she said, "I have something important to tell you, Aquila."

"Go ahead," I said.

"As you know, your mother is not your true birth mother. You were born from a Nymand woman."

I nodded and said, "Yes, I know my history. Can we get to the point, please?"

"As you wish," she replied and sighed.

"I don't mean to be rude but I'm just a little on edge today."

"I understand perfectly," she replied with a smile.

I nodded. "Thank you."

"Well, to make a long story short, that Nymand woman . . . it was me, Aquila."

When she said this, I gasped and said softly, "Then tha......that means you're my......"

"Yes, Aquila, I'm your birth mother."

I gasped and moved away slightly, in complete shock.

Papa reached for me and said as he placed his hand onto my shoulder, "Son, please just listen to her, she has so much to tell you and so much you need to know and understand."

I nodded and felt Gio's hand take hold of mine. "I will papa, but not here, outside in the gardens. I need air. The room seems suddenly too small to breathe in." Papa nodded and Gio wrapped his arm around my waist and began to lead me out.

Selena followed us and said, "I agree talking outside will be better for us both, I think."

When we got outside I sat down on a bench near the water. Selena joined me. When I went to move over so Gio could sit, he smiled and came to stand next to me. "I'm fine standing my love"

"Are you sure?" I asked. He nodded and ran his hand threw my hair. I sighed and looked at Selena, waiting for her to say whatever it was she wanted to tell me.

Selena finally said softly, "I met your father a long time ago, when I was a young girl, and we became friends right away."

I nodded, "He said he used to be friends with a woman called Selena."

"Yes, well he would talk to me about anything that was bothering him or that he was scared about and I would do the same. I told him about everything I wanted from life."

"I'm the same way with my sister; she and I can talk about anything."

"That's good. Well, one night he and his wife had such a fight, he was sure they were going to be over the next day. He came to me in such a state that when I finally calmed him down he was almost asleep. Somehow during the night, as we both slept, someone of my family came into my home and put a love spell over us."

"But that makes no sense whatsoever. That would make you fall in love, not sleep with one another," I said.

Selena nodded and said, "Some love spells do indeed do that but others just make a person lust after someone else. They are more sex spells than anything. The next morning when you father and I woke up and remembered what had happened, we rushed to your momma and told her everything."

I nodded and replied, "How did you prove it?"

"I proved that it was indeed a spell by casting a reveal spell on us both. She believed us when she saw that I was spelled along with your father. I mean if I had done the spell, I would not have needed to spell myself, would I?"

I shook my head and Selena then continued by saying, "Our family line has long been blessed with the power to command both the fire and water elements. A few, however, are gifted with just one--like me, my gift is fire."

"I see."

"Your father told me you are gifted with both."

I nodded and said, "I am."

She smiled and said, "Do you remember the voice you heard that day with Theron?"

I nodded once again and then gasped in shock. "It was you, wasn't it? Your voice I have been hearing sometimes?"

"Yes, it was me, I felt your distress as if it was my own, and our ancestors granted me with the power to be able to see through your eyes at that moment. I saw what he was doing to you and my heart broke." She sighed heavily as tears formed in her eyes. I could see that she clearly cared for me. "I spoke the words into your mind and was so glad that even though you did not know who I was or what the words meant you used them anyway and managed to get away from him."

I nodded and said, "Thank you for helping me."

"I was going to help you right away but I needed to see how gifted you were as a fighter. So I spoke the words into your mind once again and you made him fly across the water."

"Wanting to see how I could fight? I can see why you didn't help right away. I'm just glad you did before he..."

Selena nodded and said, "As am I Aquila, as am I. When you where in slumber in the medical room I unlocked everything you needed to finally be able to control your elements."

"I see. Did you unlock all my fighting ability too?" I asked.

"Yes, I also unlocked all your fighting potential and the rest fall into place."

As I took all of this in, Gio said to Selena, "Where have you been all these years, then, if you don't mind my asking?"

"I wanted to keep contact but I couldn't. Aquila's papa and I decided that the best life he could possibly have was if he were with him. He could raise his son better than I could any day. I agreed to come into Aquila's life when he was going to be gifted by his ancestors."

Gio nodded and said, "I see."

"May I ask, are-"

"Yes, I am Nymand also, Selena," Gio replied before Selena could finish her question.

I finally found my voice again and said, "So what happens now?"

"I was hoping that after all this is over I could start to get to know you. If that is something you would want, that is."

I sighed and said softly, "I think so. I mean, I love my momma, but I always wanted to know what you were like. Could we start small, like my coming to visit your home and go from there?"

"Of course. I will take anything I can as long as I can see you, Aquila," Selena said.

"So what do I call you?" I said.

She smiled and replied as she placed her hand onto my shoulder. "For now why don't you just call me by my name, Selena. And I will call you by yours." I nodded and then we headed inside. Selena went back to the throne room and Gio and I went to my room.

As I sat on the bed whilst Gio was in the bathroom I sighed heavily as I felt something in my stomach. It felt like a warm and fuzzy and loving feeling. The feeling made me feel happy beyond belief.

As I placed my hand over my stomach I gasped as the potential realization swept over me. The door to the shower opened and Gio smiled and said as he came and lay down with me, "Love you, Aquila."

"Love you too, Gio," I replied.

The rest of the day went by quickly and before I knew it, it was sunset. I was dressed in my fighting robes; they were dark blue and made of satin. I had attached my sword and dagger to my waist and I was waiting near the lake where it had all begun. Gio, Lily, Selena, Duke of Sutherlands, Momma and Papa where all waiting near a tree when suddenly the wind pushed me towards the rock and Theron materialised in front of me.

He looked so different from the last time I had seen him in person. His hair was now down to his waist and his eyes where black as the night; he had a scar along his left eye which ran down to his lower lip. He snarled and said playfully as he let the wind release me. "Ready to fight—are you, Aquila?"

I nodded and said as I let my body take my Nymand form. "Yes, Theron, are you?"

He gasped softly when he saw my other form. Once again my hair and eyes became a glowing silver colour, I inhaled sharply and cried out as I threw my arms apart and out from my back emerged two aquamarine wings, almost fourteen feet in span.

He said, as I let my wings slowly flap back and forth, "An interesting fight this will indeed be, my love."

As the words left his mouth I snarled and called the fire to aid my call. As I threw a line of it at him, I said, "I am not your love! Gio and I are mated and you are just a bad memory of which I will soon be rid forever."

Theron pulled out his sword and ran at me. Our swords and daggers swung around and collided with one another until I felt a sharp pain go across my left arm. I moved back slowly and looked at it quickly. The cut was deep. Blood poured from it, slowly trickling down my arm to fall onto the floor, mixing with the sand. My blood seemed to be thicker in my Nymand form and was not a deep red but was pure and bright like quicksilver.

Theron smiled as our swords collided once again and we tried to push one another away. "Worth the pain you will be in when I win, is he?"

"He is worth everything to me, Theron!" I screamed as I got my hand free and my dagger swept over his face. Blood poured out from his cheek and lip. I smiled softly and said as I moved back slowly, "I'm a better fighter now, Theron."

"Then let's see you block this!" he replied. The dust and wind began to swirl around in his hand and he shot them towards me and sent a tornado in my direction. My wings plunged forward and propelled me back and out of reach of the threat.

Theron snarled as he saw this and then said softly, "Power I heed, come to me, come to me and do my bidding."

The wind began to violently swirl, vines emerged and flung towards me as did rocks and boulders. Before I knew what had hit me, I was on the floor and trapped within a prison made up of wind, vines and rocks.

I could hear voices outside the prison and I could tell it was Gio talking. He snarled and said ferociously, "Let my mate go before I rip off your bloody head!"

Theron laughed and said, "He's mine! In time he will come to see that it is only me he loves, not you!"

As I heard this, my body started to tingle all over and a soft voice flowed through the wind around me. "My child, be calm. My child, I am here."

"Who's there?" I asked as I looked around frantically.

"My name is Alekio."

"The ghost of the waters?!" I gasped in shock and wonder.

"Yes, and you my child are the vessel for my seed."

"How is that possible?" I asked

"I was the one who cast your Nymand mother and father to sleep together. My power runs through your veins my child, all you have to do is accept it and you can defeat Theron. You and Gio have been mates since you were born. I saw to it you would be born perfect for one another, so that you might carry my soul in the next life," he replied gently.

I nodded and sighed as I said softly, "But how? I thought that it was someone else."

"No, my child, it was I who cast it."

"What do you want with me?" I asked.

"What I want is for you to be calm and accept the power I am gifting you with, can you do that?" he replied softly.

I nodded and said, "Yes."

"Yes what, my child? You must say the words."

"I accept it."

The same electrical feeling I had felt when Gio's eyes stared at me for the first time in a lustful and loving way went through me once again. I knew what was happening and just let my body be taken over by it. When the feeling stopped, I smiled and stood up. I raised my left hand and my power over fire came to my aid. The flame swirled along my arm and hand, my power over water came next and steam added to the mix from the fire burning the water. The last gift to come to me was the command of thunder and lighting. It added to the power and they all shot out of my hand and the prison which held me crumbled into nothingness.

Theron gasped as he saw me and I growled and said as I raised my arms and called all of my powers to me, "Never again will you hurt me nor anyone I care about!"

Theron backed away slowly as the air became cold and thunder and lighting started to boom and thrash throughout the sky and area. I threw my arms in Theron's direction and lighting, fire, water, thunder all ran to him. Theron snarled and swung both of his arms around in a circular motion. The earth shook and rose up acting as a shield for him and my power hit the mud wall. The mud wall fell to the floor and I cried out in shock. Theron wasn't there anymore; he had run off like a coward.

I cried out once more and fell to the floor. Tears trickled down from my eyes. "Shh, my love its ok, we will find him and he will pay," Gio said soothingly into my ear, as he rocked my gently in his arms.

"Gio, where is he?" I asked sobbingly "Where did he go?"

"Shh. I don't know love, I'm just glad you're okay."

"But I'm not; I won't be until he is dead Gio, he can still come after me."

"I know love, I know, we will find him and end this I promise," Gio said soothingly, his grip tightening on me a little.

"Can we get out of here? I need to change." I said. Gio nodded softly and we all began to walk back home.

When we got back to the palace, I sighed and said to Selena, "Can I speak with you a moment, please?"

She nodded and replied, "Of course."

Gio nodded at me and carried on with the rest of our family whilst Selena and I went outside to the gardens.

When we got outside we sat down on a bench and I sighed after a few minutes of silence and said, "I need to ask you something and this is going to sound so strange, but ca-"

"Yes, males can get pregnant in our species. But in our family line no male has given birth to a child in over two hundred years," she replied as she cut me off.

I gasped and said, "How did you know I was going to ask that?"

"Let's call it woman's intotuition. When did you figure it out?" Selena smiled as she said this.

I sighed and said, "Earlier today, I just had this sudden warm and loving feeling wash over me from out of nowhere."

Selena smiled as I said this and replied as she put her hands on mine, "There is a way I can make sure, but I would need to touch your stomach."

I nodded and said softly, "Do it."

I undid the front of my robe until my stomach was visible and Selena pressed her hands to my belly. She hummed silently and then gasped. She locked her eyes with mine and said as tears came to her eyes, "Oh, my darling."

I smiled and said as we hugged, "I am?"

She pulled back nodded and said proudly, "You are, Aquila, you are!" I let the tears run down my face as we hugged one another once more.

When we let one another go Selena smiled and said, "Also our pregnancies are shorter than most. We only gestate for eleven weeks and the child has a heartbeat pretty soon after conception."

I gasped and said, "Eleven weeks, oh god no! That's too short; I won't be ready in time!"

"Yes, you will. I will help you throughout this and when you give birth, I promise you my darling," she replied.

"Thank you," I said with a sigh.

A while later Selena and I were still outside when I sighed and said, "I had better go and find Gio. I need to tell him."

"Good luck," she replied softly as we headed back inside.

When we got inside I smiled as we hugged once more. "I will see you later at the dinner Selena."

"See you later, my darling," she replied softy as we parted ways and I went to find Gio.

When Gio and I were in our room he smiled as he saw me put on my silver silk robe and said, "You look as beautiful as ever, my love."

I smiled as I looked at him in his dark blue clothing and said, "And you look as handsome as ever, my angel."

As I sighed, Gio came and wrapped me in his arms and said, "What is it, beloved?"

I sighed and said softly, "There is something I need to tell you, Gio."

He nodded and replied gently, "What? You know you can tell me anything."

I nodded and then said, "Maybe we should sit down."

Neither one of us said anything for a while and I finally sighed. "You know that our line is Nymand."

"Yes," he replied.

"Well, I asked Selena when we got back if a male has ever been with child, and she told me they had, but not for over two hundred years in my family."
