~Sleep well, my rider.~ Hayden nuzzled her one last time before launching himself into the air and flying away to the north.
Kennice watched him go, wonder still humming through her. She was a dragon rider! And she hadn't needed the extra warning. There was no way she was going to tell Erykia or Rhys. She might have agreed to this marriage but experience had taught her to be careful around those two. With a smile she headed back to the house.

Anonymousalmost 15 years agoOh dear! It seems that Hayden waited much too long to help Cyrus with Kennice, if that was ever his intention? Cyrus will really snap when he finds out that he has lost Kennice - and from what we read about Rhys, Kennice will regret her decision very soon. And I was hoping that they would get at least a little happiness :-(
kushielschosenover 17 years agoThis is an AWESOME story...don't get me wrong..but ever since one of the earlier chapters I've been kind of confused. During one of the scenes in which Erykia was caning Kennice, Rhys spanked her, as well, and the text said that it left a very visible handprint on her "milk chocolate" skin. Is Kennice black? In the end, it really doesn't make a difference, but for visualization purposes...I'd like to know. Thanks!
