Out of His League Ch. 02byMyaHunter©
I really appreciate the feedback. Thank you all for reading and commenting. This is my first story so ofcourse it's not going to be perfect but I appreciate the criticism. Well, on to chapter 2.
March 5, 2012
I just got home on Spring Break and Monie already wanted to go out. I wasn't objecting to going out but I kind of just wanted to chill that night. However, since I didn't go out during Christmas Break due to work, she told me that it was my obligation to go out tonight to make up for lost time.
I just laughed and agreed; I had no fight in me. Plus, she said there was some theme that I can't remember and that tonight was supposed to be really fun. Whatever, just as long as I had a drink in my hand, I was fine.
Our little crew got together and we headed to the club in a cab. Once again, when we go to the entrance, Terry Crews (that's what I decided to call him) was standing there looking badass. Again, I noticed his gaze staying on me a little longer. I didn't think he would remember me.
My once short boy cut had grown out to about three inches and stood curly around my head. I also dressed a little differently this time. Whereas before, my dress was sexy but a little conservative, my new attire was anything but. I wore 3 in. black wedges, a chiffon skirt with some black high waist briefs underneath, a gold bralette, and a sheer vest, as well as gold jewelry. This may not seem extreme to some people but it was for me. However, the outfit with the gold made my skin glow and I felt good about myself.
Terry let us in and shit was jumpin. There were people everywhere but it wasn't too crowded. The strobe lights were flashing all types of bright colors and some good ass music was blasting. Damn. I couldn't wait to dance. Screw the drink...for now. We rushed over to a table and quickly put our stuff down. We were so excited to dance, we didn't even think about someone stealing our stuff.
We come back after five songs later and what do we find? All of our stuff is missing. I was just about to have a fit but then I thought maybe I should ask the people sitting at our old table if they saw anything. I walked up to the table and knelt over to the guy closest to me. Immediately he looked at me, at my chest, then back at my face.
I smiled. "Hey. My friends and I had our stuff sitting on this table. Did you move it?"
"Uh, no. When we got over here the table was empty. But I did see one of the bodyguards picking up your stuff. It looked like he was walking towards the VIP section."
VIP? "Um, okay. Thank you." I smiled at him and then walked away.
I found my friends and told them what the guy told me. We stared at each other for couple of seconds and then we were all grins.
Fuck our stuff! We were going to the VIP! We walked up to the suite and just as I was about to say something to the guard, Mr. Alpine himself walked down the steps and greeted us.
He was all smiles, as was I.
"Hello. It's nice to see you again. Come with me."
With that, he turned and walked away. I looked back at my friends, smiled, and followed him up the stairs and into the suite.
I was so excited yet nervous, I could barely walk straight. I laughed at myself, a little too loud because he turned around and looked at me. I quickly stopped smiling and just shook my head.
I could embarrass myself so bad sometimes. I sighed. He probably thought I was a weirdo.
We finally made it to what I would presume was his special spot in the suite. There were other people around but they were a little distant from this spot. The suite was soooo big and there was a mini dance floor in the middle.
Mia, Tyler, and Monie quickly set their stuff down and went to the dance floor. Monie winked at me as she walked away. I guess they were giving me some alone time with Alpine.
I watched them as they walked away. I don't know how long I was standing there before I realized I was being rude. I was so nervous and I was counting on them to be my support and they had up and left me. I quickly turned around and found Alpine sitting on the couch.
"I'm sorry, that was rude."
He didn't say anything but he patted the seat next to him. I went to sit down but made sure to keep a little space between us. He put his arm around the back of the couch. His hand rested on my shoulder. He then used his other hand to grab my thigh and pulled me closer to him until our thighs touched. I let a little squeak out by accident; once again embarrassing myself.
I was so nervous, I couldn't think of anything to say. I instead, played with my skirt.
"I know you're not 21." He whispered in my ear.
"What?" I snapped my head up so quickly it cracked, loudly and painfully. Once again, I embarrassed myself and instead of playing it cool, I flipped out and proved his point.
He just smirked at me and said, "It's okay. I like you."
"Do you say that to a lot of girls?"
"Actually, I don't."
"Right. So why did you buy me a drink when you knew I wasn't 21? And, how did you remember me, I haven't been here for months?"
"To answer your first question, I knew it wasn't your first time drinking and you looked mature enough to handle yourself. Second answer, how could I not? You're very tall and that's not something easy to forget."
I looked away. Once again, my height comes first in my most memorable physical attribute. Why couldn't he say that he thought I was very attractive and that's why he remembered me?
"And you're very sexy but beautiful as well."
"What?" I said as I looked back at him.
"You heard me and you intrigue me. You stand up straight and you walk with confidence but you appear as if you're at war with yourself. It shows in your face."
"Well thank you and yea, I have a problem sometimes with keeping my emotions off my face."
"I like that. Let's me know what you're thinking even if you don't say it."
"I don't. It's annoying how I can give myself away."
He shrugged. "Everyone has something that gives them away."
"Mm. Hmm. What's yours?"
"Well, I can't tell you. You're just going to have to figure that out."
"Mm. Okay." I didn't know what else to say.
After a few seconds of silence, He stood up, "Come walk with me."
Anything you want. I smiled to myself; at how much of sucker I was becoming. He watched me and asked what was funny.
"Oh, nothing; just thinking of something funny. Please don't ask me what it was because I'm not telling you."
He just smiled and grabbed my hand as we walked to a door in the corner of the suite.
Just as we made it, Mia came rushing over saying that we had to leave because Monie was upset; something about her boyfriend. I was angry instantly. Who knows what was about to happen. I wanted to know! However as soon as the anger came it was gone and was replaced with concern for my friend. I looked at Alpine.
"I'm sorry. I have to go but I don't know when I'll be back here..." I trailed off.
"Well, why don't you give me your number and we can hang out some time."
I smiled. "You give me your number and I'll call you." That came out of nowhere.
He looked at me for a little why and then smiled. He does that a lot. I wonder what he's really thinking. I pulled out my phone and he put in his number.
"I'll call you. Bye." I said as I walked away.
Just then, I remembered something. "Alpine." His back was facing me but he turned around when he heard his name.
I walked up to him, put my arms around him, gave him a quick peck on the lips and then went to his ear and said, "Thanks for a fun time." I let go of him, smiled, and walked away.
Maybe I shouldn't have done that to a strange but fuck it, that man gives me confidence for days.
