Silver Moon: A Change Ch. 06A

This is a pure work of fiction and all aspects are from my own imagination though some parts will probably sound similar depending on how much fantasy reading you have done.

If you have any problems with what I am typing let me know but if you are only going to give crappy feedback as in 'it sucks' then go frost yourself and hope you need a new wanker... Now if you have some positive feedback please let me know.

Oh and a few things you might notice, most of the characters are not going to be some hot rockin' stud who looks like Adonis. Can you say over used and over played? Also if I ever have a set of dueling tongues I might just shoot myself. Every time I come across that I can't help but see them facing off at 20 paces with guns and that is just wrong...

I would also like to greatly thank Somaluna for proof reading this and giving me some excellent feedback. I hope everyone enjoyed the last chapter. This one is going to intro some new characters and I hope everyone enjoys them... I broke chapter up into two chapters since the two main sections didn't really have anything to do with each other.

Mari froze for a moment and then sighed and wiggled slightly. "Well if I am going to have a cub, you are the male for me. I have wanted one but not with the dirtbag who used to be our alpha. Having you as the father of my cubs is wonderful. Thank you." If she was pregnant she was going to enjoy having Dan's cubs.

A few days after Dan and Mari had made love, he was on the porch helping several of his pack replace the railing. The wood was old and was starting to crack and the paint was starting to peel off as well. It wasn't worth simply painting over so they were replacing it. He had found the stash of money the former alpha had and they had made a run to town and picked up a bunch of wood and a large quantity of paint. Once they were done with the external repairs, the house was going to be painted and trimmed.

When he thought about finding the stash he had to shake his head. It was built into the side of the desk and was opened by pushing one fancy carving or by banging your head in just the right spot. That was how he had actually found it. He was feeling very frustrated with a couple of his wolves and was beating his head against the desk when he heard a click and a side panel was partially opened. There was a heck of a stash in there and it was easily enough to support the pack for six months.

As he was working a screw into the wood his ears picked up the sounds of someone walking up the road to the house. It would be a few minutes before they arrived so he didn't say anything and waited to see which of his wolves noticed the intruder first. Charles stood up and gave the road to the house a hard look and then glanced at Dan.

Dan nodded and grinned. "Good catch Charles. Let the pack know that we have a guest and make sure the pups are all accounted for." The others were starting to catch on as Charles headed inside to take care of his alphas orders. "All of you need to pay more attention even while you are working. Keep working till we find out what the person wants."

He put the electric drill he had been using to drive the screws in with down and walked over to the stairs and stood there with his arms crossed and waited. When the person was finally visible Dan's jaw damn near hit the ground. He was huge. Even from this distance Dan could tell that. He was probably close to 7' tall and as muscled as Dan was. He had dirty blond hair and striking blue eyes.

As soon as he saw Dan the man slowed down and finally stopped a moderate distance away. "I would like to talk to the Alpha if he is available." For such a large man his voice was fairly light. His head was slightly lowered and he was looking at the ground. His posture was definitely submissive and almost beaten down.

"I am the Alpha and what are you doing on my territory? I don't know where you are from but it is usually a good idea to call ahead when you are going to be on another pack's territory." Dan's voice was hard as he spoke. There wasn't going to be any question that he was in charge and wasn't going to take any crap.

"Sorry sir, I would have called if I could have but don't have the money to make a call." His voice was still light. "I have heard of you from some of the other wolves around here and most everything that I have heard has been about all the things you are doing for your pack. I don't have a pack anymore and wanted to ask if you might accept me into your pack." He had been walking for so long and he was tired and if he didn't find a pack soon he wasn't sure what he would do.

That actually startled Dan since he hadn't really considered adding to the pack though they could use it. "Come with me then and we will talk about it." He looked at his pack members. "Continue working while I deal with this." Dan turned and walked into the house and led him to his office and inside. "Sit. Now tell me why you don't already have a pack and tell me why I should accept you?"

The man carefully sat down and folded his hands together and looked at the desktop. "I left my pack because I was tired of being beat up on. I might be large and scary looking but I am at the bottom of the pack. Since I was little it was allowed for others to pick fights with me since I don't fight back much. I want somewhere that I can live and be myself without being abused. I understand that I am the lowest but does that mean that I am not worth anything? That I am not a person?" He was starting to shiver from fear.

Maybe he should have just stayed a lone wolf. He was large and worked hard so he would be able to support himself but his wolf needed the companionship of other wolves. It was the only reason he hadn't left the pack beforehand. When some of the dominant wolves started discussing the new Alpha in the next territory he couldn't help but listen. Their comments on the changes he was making were fairly vulgar and that alone was a positive indicator that he was probably a good alpha.

Dan leaned his chair back and listened to the man as he was talking. *Mari bring some coffee and a large sandwich please.* He contemplated the man. He definitely smelled and felt like a submissive and having more than one in a pack was always a good thing. "Discipline is one thing, but abuse is something totally different. Nobody deserves to be abused in any way, and it isn't allowed in my pack. I am going to need to think about this but for the moment you can stay here till I decide what my choice is. If I do decide to let you stay it will be on an interim basis till you prove that taking you in is the right thing for my pack."

He turned and pulled out the sheet of rules that he was building and slid it across the desk. "Read this and if you can agree with all the rules then you can stay." Right as the man was reaching for it Mari knocked and then walked in.

Aiden promptly stood up and kept his eyes down. Mari froze for a moment as her eyes slowly traveled up the man. "Damn, did your mother feed you growth pills when you were little?" As soon as she spoke she blushed. "Sorry, I shouldn't have said that." She carried the tray to the desk and set it down. "I am going to assume the sandwich is for you and I hope you enjoy it." With a nod she left the room and closed the door behind her.

"Sit son and take the sandwich and some coffee if you want. I can hear the growling from over here." Dan might have to talk to Mari later about what she had said. It wasn't mean but he was sure that the man had heard variations of that before. "So what is your name?"

The man approached the desk and took both the paper and the plate from it and sat back down and slowly started eating the sandwich as he read the rules. Several times he had to stop and start over. Most packs were decently run but some of these rules were shocking. Eventually he finished the food and couldn't help but burp. "Thank you sir for the food and my name is Aiden."

Aiden looked at the paper again. "If all of these rules are followed, I think I will really like it here." His voice sort of indicated that he didn't quite believe they were actually used and followed.

Dan wanted to smile but he didn't, instead he hardened his face and almost glowered at him. "I killed a man for raping one of the women. I caught him, took him out to the challenge circle and explained what had happened and then killed him. I didn't hesitate, didn't wonder if he might get better if I tried to educate him on the errors of his ways. If someone breaks one of my rules I expect someone to come and tell me."

He stood up. "Follow me, time to show you to the pack and introduce you." Dan walked out of the office and back outside. As he was walking he could hear whispers and murmurs from pack that were sort of hidden but ignored it. Once he was outside he walked over to the circle and stood on the edge of it. Once the man was standing next to and sort of behind him, Dan lifted his face and called the pack. The call was low and gentle with overtones of amusement.

It almost took less time for everyone to gather than when he had killed the rapist. They lined up and he really wanted to laugh. Little Giani looked totally frozen at the sight of the huge man. She was startled enough her mouth was hanging open. "Little one if you don't close your mouth you might just catch a fly."

Giani glared at Dan and then cleared her face and looked away. She had thought Dan was large but that man was huge. She really hoped that he was nice like Dan was.

"This is Aiden who has requested permission to join the pack. I am accepting him on an interim position. He, much like Mari is a submissive. You will give him the respect due all pack members." He was about ready to say something else when Angie caught a whiff of his scent and didn't even think twice.

For some reason she had been feeling itchy all day and definitely out of sorts. There was just something that had been bothering her and she really couldn't place a finger on it. If she was human she would have said it was like her cycle was starting but since they only went into heat twice a year it wasn't a problem they really had to deal with. When they were called out to see the strange lycan she was frankly glad since it gave her something to distract herself with.

When they were outside she much like the others couldn't help but stare at Aiden in shock. As Dan was talking the wind shifted and one of the most wonderful scents she had ever smell trickled past her nose. Her wolf immediately stood up and launched herself at him. "My mate, how I have wondered where you were." Her leap was very prodigious and she nailed him in the chest.

Aiden's head snapped up and his eyes snapped all the way open as the woman launched herself at him. He almost didn't hear what she was saying since his first reaction was to catch her and make sure she didn't get hurt. His arms opened and he braced himself and caught her. Her scent wrapped around his nose and he pulled her close to him and buried his nose in her neck and inhaled.

Dan was looking more than a bit shocked since this was the last thing he expected. "Ah, well I guess I should be saying he is going to be joining the pack today." Dan was completely knocked off his mental center and he was sort of floundering. "Well crap, I suppose that is one way to get new members even if you have to wait nine months..."

Mari almost immediately started snickering at Dan's reaction as well as Angie's since Angie was fairly reticent about one of the lycan's favorite past times, sex. To see her do that was too funny. She noticed Dan glaring at her and that made it even worse. She tried to cover the laughter up but ended up collapsing into the arms of the woman next to her she was laughing so hard. When Dan made the comment about 9 months she started laughing even harder.

The pack started snickering and even the most serious were smiling. It was nice to see a new pack member but to get a new pack member and to find a mate in the same day made it a great day. "I think this is going to call for a toast at lunch. I will break out the bottle of Scotch I have been saving." Bear commented.

That got a reaction since they knew how careful Bear was of his drink. Granted it was very hard for a lycan to get drunk but you could still enjoy the taste and slight buzz it could give you.

Dan knew that it would take a moment or two for the pack to calm down and he let them carry on for a few moments and then called for silence. "Enough, we can talk about it at lunch and since he is going to be accepted into the pack I am going to induct him immediately." He turned to the two. "I need you to let go of your mate for a few moments Angie."

She almost glowered at him and then lowered her eyes and wiggled out of Aiden's arms and stood next to him. Angie definitely didn't want to let him go but they needed to do this and then get to lunch. She wondered if Dan would let them have the afternoon off since she had definite plans with him. "Yes O' mighty Alpha Sir."

Dan rolled his eyes. "I think the kitchen help is getting uppity. Might have to confine her to her room for the rest of the day!" He knew what was going through her mind and watched her blush a deep crimson. "Aiden kneel down. Since you are now a member of the pack there is one thing that I do that is different from all the other packs and will create a bond with you." As he was talking he pulled out the pen knife he had started carrying around and sliced his hand. "Drink of the blood of your Alpha."

Aiden was sort of startled when Dan didn't backhand Angie for obviously being a smart ass towards her Alpha. At Dan's command he did kneel, though he looked slightly confused. When the knife came out he started to get worried until Dan sliced his hand. Aiden didn't even think when he tilted his head back and opened his mouth. As he did and the power began to flow through him, he tensed up until something started to form in his mind.

Even his wolf stood up and took notice of that and lifted his head and howled in the vault of Aiden's mind. With the howl also came a sense of being home and a sort of welcome and he didn't even think twice before starting to cry. It was a feeling he never had at his old pack.

Dan gave him a gentle smile and moved forward and stroked his hair. "Welcome home son. Welcome home and I think you will be a fine mate for Angie. Now why don't we go in, let Bear get his bottle and have something to eat." He comforted the man for a few more minutes before getting out of the way of his mate and let her take over.

Once lunch was over Dan went back to his office and collapsed in his chair and leaned it back and closed his eyes and heaved a sigh. "Well that was interesting. Not really what I figured the day would be like, but acceptable. He had a good feeling about the man. When he smelled Mari approach his office he didn't wait. "Come on in you little minx." When she came in she walked over to him and he lunged out and scooped her up and deposited her in his lap.

Mari wasn't expecting that and squealed in shock and smacked him. "You turkey! What kind of Alpha are you that man handles his submissives that way." She was giggling as she sort of curled up in his lap and relaxed against him.

"The type of Alpha that should spank said submissive for laughing so hard she collapses." As he was saying it, he couldn't help but start to snicker. "That totally wasn't something I would have expected. Did you see that leap? That was incredible. I was afraid she was going to take him out when she hit him."

Mari snickered slightly and then quieted down. "Sometimes I wonder when I will meet my mate. Don't get me wrong, I have enjoyed my time in your bed but I want more." Her voice was quiet. "Till you got here it was something I dreaded since I was afraid it would be like the other Alpha or something and I didn't want one. You showed me that sex can be very enjoyable as well as a man can be gentle and kind. I know that there is a killer inside you and that should scare me but I know that you would never hurt me unless I really screwed up. You are teaching me to trust males again and thank you for that."

She turned her head and nuzzled his chest and sighed. Before he realized it, she had drifted off and was snoring quietly. That was something she never would have done before with any of the males in the pack.

She was still sleeping slightly when there was a light knock on the door and Angie and Aiden walked in. "I just wanted to say that I am sorry for the way I acted. I could have waited till after you were done," she blushed again, "but my wolf sort of caught me off guard."

Aiden was more than a bit startled to find the other submissive curled up in his lap and tried not to stare, but it was such an odd picture. Dan scared him big time, but obviously he didn't scare Mari what so ever. "I wanted to say thank you as well sir. Before I found my mate, you had no reason to allow someone like me in..."

Dan's face hardened. "Don't ever talk like that again. Being a submissive isn't a bad thing what so ever. You help bring stability to the pack and if your former Alpha couldn't see that then it is his loss. Neither of you have anything to apologize for." He forced his face to soften. "We will talk more but if you remember I did confine Angie to her room... Well maybe if the two of you want to find larger rooms that would work as well. Make sure your mate stays in the rooms till tomorrow morning Aiden."

Angie blushed even harder as Dan teased them. She looked up at her mate and smiled. He wasn't what you would call a handsome man. His hair looked like a hay stack with tufts poking out at odd angles, his eyes weren't even, his nose was a bit large and his lips were sort of thin but he was beautiful to her. "Yes O' Mighty Alpha sirness. I will make sure I am confined to my room till tomorrow. Hope you don't starve when dinner rolls around."

Dan snickered and had to resist the expression on Aiden's face as she poked fun at him. "I don't mind a bit of teasing as long as it isn't mean or used as a way to contest my dominance. I actually welcome the teasing since it means that I am doing my job. Now go you two and I will have something delivered for dinner this evening." He smiled as they walked out of the room. Aiden was in for a head spinning introduction to werewolf packs by Dan.

Angie knew just the room and for some reason she had made sure that it had been cleaned earlier in the week. When they approached it she turned and looked at him. "I know I am more dominant than you but we will work that out. I want my mate to be comfortable as well." She leaned into him and gave him a good hug. "We really do have a good Alpha and I have learned a great deal from him and will do my best to take care of my mate and our cubs when we have them."

Aiden leaned into her and knew that she was more dominant than he was but wasn't worried. "You are my mate and that is what matters. I don't care if you are more dominant than I am as long as our pups are taken care of. I will love and protect them as much as possible." He let her sort of push him over to the bed since she was in charge. What his mate wanted he would accept.

"Damn it you are starting to work my wolf up. Angie said and proceeded to unbutton his shirt and tossed it across the bed before removing her shirt and bra. Once they were sort of nude he leaned back and let her take charge.

She growled at him and started licking and nipping her way down his body starting with his mouth. Her nips covered his mouth and neck as she worked on him. The nips only fueled their need and before he realized it she was nibbling on his nipples. When he looked at her she was what could be called BBW for lycans. She had large breasts and wide hips but a slender waist. Her hair was a medium brown and her breasts were heavy and designed for children and sucking on. Her hips were made for babies and she didn't shave though she did trim. Her face was attractive and meant for kissing and how he wanted her. They would have cubs soon based on her scent.
