Chapter 3 – The Cafeteria.
The plan was made. Jan Dunsworthy was to make contact with Elias Bean and try to seduce him away from the AI collective. The initial contact was very important as first impressions can be very lasting. Since John Anderson was a fugitive from justice and his face was known to various law enforcement agencies, Don Thorn and Werewolf would accompany Jan and manipulate the background as “extras” in her show. This was Jan’s first real attempt at a “tour de grace.” Together with her neo-Luddite boyfriend, John Anderson, and Father Treetop, she had experienced “tours de force” in the past. Jan would have liked to have had Father Treetop on her team, but everyone agreed that a priest would not fit in well on a university campus. Aside from his dress and behavior, there was also the distinct danger that one of the university chaplains might feel infringed on by him and make a report to the church authorities. Detection was to be avoided.
Timing was crucial. Jan, Don, and Werewolf observed Elias for several days. He usually left after his eleven o’clock class at ten ‘til twelve and headed straight to the campus cafeteria for lunch. The cafeteria had a long serving line, several cashiers at the end, and tables for the diners. There were mostly long tables, but clustered around the periphery were some smaller tables suitable for two to four to seat themselves. Those smaller tables were muchly in demand by those who wished to share time with a particular individual. The plan was for Don and Werewolf to occupy a table and leave just as Elias exited the cashier. Jan would follow Elias closely. When Elias seated himself, Jan would come and ask if she could join him. That would put the two together and set the stage for Jan’s action.
Werewolf and his hacker friends had procured pictures of Elias from the web and other sources. They had been able to hack into personnel files and medical records to obtain still further information. Knowing those details had enabled Jan, Don, and Werewolf to precisely identify the individual. At first they only knew that they were looking for a male under 30 with reddish hair and gray eyes. Later they were able to refine the parameters to a man who was 5’11”, weighing 185 pounds, with a 35 inch waist and a size ten shoe. His IQ was obtained from other sources. It was 120, over one standard deviation from the mean of 100. Elias was in the “bright normal” category but certainly not the extreme genius or stereotypical egghead. Once they knew exactly who they were searching for, location and identification was elementary. Between his dormitory, classrooms, and the physics laboratory, where were few places to arrange a random encounter. The cafeteria seemed to be the ideal spot. The meeting had to appear totally random.
Their first attempt failed; someone else took the only vacant small table vacated by Don and Werewolf. The next day, however, Elias was successfully maneuvered into place. Jan came up and asked if she could join him. She was beautiful and wearing delicate fabrics. Yet her attire was still coed if not preppy. Jan was wearing shaping cups but no bra. There were no panty or bra lines beneath her dress. It was basic black and had the remarkable property of highlighting each curve, cusp, cleft, cleavage, and contour. Her nipples displayed a titty-hard-on and her puckered areolas were visible. Jan’s finely toned thighs attracted the eyes of the male and her curves kept the lecherous looks locked in place. She carried a bulging purse and some textbooks on art and computer graphics. At the same time she was trying to balance a tray of food. Don and Werewolf positioned themselves outside. There were plenty of free concrete benches outside; the weather was hot and humid. Most of the students and faculty preferred the comfort of the air conditioned cafeteria, albeit crowded and noisy. Jan set down her books. Elias offered to help, just as planned. A large Styrofoam cup of ice tea spilled across the table. It splashed over Elias as Jan dropped her purse to the floor directly beneath the table. As Jan mopped up the mess on the table, Elias scrambled to retrieve the purse. Werewolf activated a remote control. Protruding from the purse was a vibrator. It was the device remotely activated and began to emerge from the purse due to its intense oscillation.
“Oh my goodness,” Jan exclaimed as she grabbed the phallus and turned it off. She was blushing. This blush, although carefully scripted, was still genuine. Elias had seen that she had a sex toy in her purse.
“Uh,” Elias didn’t know quite how to reply. He continued to repair the damage from the tea. A girl from the serving line came over and offered a towel, which was graciously received by Elias and Jan.
“I’m so terribly sorry,” Jan said. “Oh, and what you must think of me!”
“It’s nothing,” Elias replied. He was pleased to have a woman in his debt, if only for a few minutes. After a few moments silence, as Elias tried to eat but found difficulty facing such a gorgeous woman, he tried to strike up a conversation by asking about her studies.
“I see you’re studying art and computer graphics,” Elias mentioned. He hopefully wished to start a dialog but knew from past experience that she would probably not want to talk to him.
“Oh, yes,” Jan cheerfully replied, still blushing a little from the discovery of her vibrating dildo. “I’m really into human three-dimensional animation and modeling.” Elias was aware that much had been done on three-dimensional modeling. Some of the female figures were stunning and totally resplendent in their naked splendor and radiance. “What are you studying?”
“Physics,” Elias gasped, almost choking on his soft drink. “I’m a graduate student in physics.”
“Oh,” Jan responded. Her green eyes widened with obvious interest and she leaned slightly forward, allowing her cleavage maximal exposure. “You must be such a brain. I love brainy men. They are so mature and virile.” A delicate scent wafted from Jan. It was déjà vu to Elias. Perhaps the very scent or aroma of a lost love or woman he once had an adolescent crush on. He noticed her pierced earlobes. Each sported a pearl atop a small golden mound. Could it represent a stud in a clitoris? The imagery was vivid and enthralling. Somewhere in his subconscious he associated the pearl with the female symphysis, the tiny, throbbing prepuce of her carnal craving.
It was Elias’s turn to blush. He was able to enhance his body language by holding his breath and thus reddening his face all the more. It was a high school ploy but it worked sometimes.
“Oh,” Jan giggled. “I made you blush. You must be the shy one.” Then she squirmed and wiggled in her chair. “I am crazy about shy guys.” Despite her measurements (35/30/34(C)), Jan maintained a swimmer’s build. Her brunette hair had a silky smooth sheen and a luxurious texture. Jan’s green eyes could darken to mystic jade, emanating smoldering passion, or lighten to an emerald green, exuding burning desire and ardent lust. She employed every female device to indicate her interest in the man she was facing across a small table. She succeeded in bringing Elias to a full and complete erection.
“That’s me,” Elias answered. He was unused to female attention. Like many in the hard sciences and engineering, girls were not his forte. Most of his waking hours were spent in the physics laboratory. There were female graduate students, but most of them were dedicated, homely, and asexual. Jan could see that the initial impression was satisfactory. She then pressed her major chord.
“I have to go to class,” she complained. “But I owe you for the mess. Can I treat you to a coffee later this afternoon?”
“Yes,” Elias replied immediately. He was taking the bait.
“Starbucks on University [Avenue] at three [o’clock]?” she asked.
“I’ll be there,” he promised. She would also, but stylishly late. There they would have their one-on-one. Each and every male harbors the delusion that there is a beautiful, intelligent woman who finds him irresistible. It doesn’t matter that they intellectually or rationally know that this hypothesis is false. It is a psychological axiom. Once convinced that a given female only has eyes for him, the male psyche demands that he continue the predictable, prescribed course of events. It is as fixed and definite as the insect response to chemical pheromones. The queen insect issues a chemical command that must be obeyed, even by the insect that is decapitated and even after “death.” Of course there is a female counterpart, but it is of a different nature. The female psyche pays homage to the woman’s desirability.
“Please, don’t think the worst of me for that toy,” Jan whispered.
“Oh, I won’t,” Elias promised. He was intrigued. The vibrator was a phallus which oddly enough had a known, distinguished curvature and robustness. It had a remarkable individual difference that distinguished it. Elias shrugged the thought away and banished it to his subconscious. There, unbeknown to him, it would feed his libido and enter his dreamscape. Werewolf the Initiate had done well with the medical profiles and stored data files. As Jan departed Elias took a deep breath. He would have to wait a few moments until his member disengaged itself from its sanguine engorgement. He had never encountered such a sensual being before. And never had he perceived that he was the one and only object of her interest. Once they had experienced a one-on-one encounter in private, undeniable psychological forces would induce Elias to follow the primrose trail.
