Red Sky knelt beside his wife and took her hand. Snow Bird's eyes fluttered open and smiled at him. "It's a boy," she whispered. "What will we call him?"

Red Sky leaned forward and kissed her, still holding her hand. "I love you, Snow Bird," he said softly, his breath warm against her cheek. "We shall call him Gray Cloud."

Very Poignant Story.

A very thoughtful author, writing a very sensitive story. Very much enjoyed.

I loved the story, but was a little confused.

I know that some of the Shawnee sojourned for a time in Eastern Kansas, after being forced out of their homeland. I could see this group perhaps being attacked by the Pawnee. But, I find it difficult to believe that they would have ranged all of the way to Ohio or even Indiana to attack the Shawnee. I did, however, enjoy the story, as I have enjoyed all of your stories that I have read. I consider you to be one of the best authors on this site.

Amazing, as always - Love the native american!

Your honest and open portrayal is a joy and a delight. I trust you will continue exploring this realm, the research you've done is evident without it being 'overly' evident. Subtle and wonderous

Loved it!

Great emotional elements to convey the anticipation, yearning and apprehension which comes with being apart. The lovers' eventual reunion and resulting happy ending were also a nice added touch.
