Happy Valentine's Day you naughty boys and girls of Literotica! This is my entry into the 2011 Valentine's Day Contest here on Literotica and I hope you'll vote for me. I've heard that divorce is awful. You create a life together, you combine your finances, your household and your hearts, vowing to stay together through thick and thin and then, BLAM! Forget them both. Forget sleepovers at 10 years old with my best friend in the entire world.
Forget his puppy dog soulful eyes. Forget all the years I gave him everything I had, body, soul and checkbook. Forget love. It's highly overrated and nothing more than a cruel fairy tale.




I had a high school sweetheart too. We met in junior high and fell in puppy love. Then, we dated all through high school. Derrick was everything that my ex-mistake hadn't been. He was charming, romantic, hard-working, smart, sexy as hell.




Looking back, I wish I hadn't waited. I missed my chance to be a with a great guy. I went to college and he got a job working at a hotel. We stayed in touch for about a minute, but I screwed that up by getting with the asshole. Derrick didn't even give me grief about it. He said he understood that we were going in different directions. He wished me well. The boy always had class.
