I am completely uneducated beyond a high school diploma, have no formal training in writing, and work with my hands for a living. Yet, for some odd reason I have decided to try my hand at writing.
Unfortunately, as I am sure many do, I have discovered that this writing thing is much harder than it looks. I have also come to learn that I do not think like the average person.
Being a complete amateur, I am struggling to get beyond the 'see spot run' level of writing. Thus I am interested in any thoughts readers have. While criticism of spelling and grammar is appreciated, what I am really seeking is feedback on my story lines, pacing, perspective, etc. Give me your impressions of my writing. Above all, does my story entertain?
I may post original, stand alone stories in the future but for right now I will be posting excerpts from a book I am writing. Just to warn you, there may be a bit of 'disjointedness' as my 9th grade English teacher used to say.
