Some words from swingerjoe:

A note to the readers:

I appreciate all of the feedback I have received, both supportive and critical, and I encourage you to keep it coming. I respond to most of the e-mails I receive (as long as they are civil), so please feel free to contact me with a friendly greeting, helpful criticism, complaints or (especially) heaps of praise. I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have.

I hope you enjoy reading my stories as much as I enjoy writing them.

About the Literotica ratings system:

It has been obvious to me for a while that many readers -- particularly Loving Wives readers -- rate stories based on the morality of the characters involved, and not by the actual quality and content of the writing.

Because of this, ratings in the LW category have lost all integrity and value. In response, I have decided to turn off all voting for all of my Loving Wives stories. At this point in my Literotica "career", I don't need the affirmation of ratings to motivate me, regardless. I write because I enjoy writing, and if even one person appreciates what I've written, that is enough of a justification for me to share my stories with others.

About my stories:

There is an oft-repeated word of advice for writers: "write what you know." Many of the stories I have written are based on real life experiences. Some are entirely true to life, others merely incorporate real-life events, and some are entirely fictional. I'll leave it to you to decide which are which.

Easter Eggs:

I like to leave "Easter Eggs" in my stories for no other reason than sheer amusement. For example, in "Cocksucking Competition," I paid homage to the "Rocky" movies by naming my characters "Rochellle" (Rocky), Aaron (Adrian) and Mai-Lin (Mickey.) The villain in that story was named "Candy Cummings", who is a baseball Hall of Famer, and is considered to be the inventor of the curveball.

In "An Old Wives Tale", I named every character in the story after a "Peanuts" character: Charlie, Lucy, Linus, Shermie, Patty, Marcy, Franklin, and even the little red-haired girl. Of course, the overarching theme of this story is Lucy holding the ball for Charlie Brown to kick. And he falls for it every single time.

In "No More Room in the Basement," I paid tribute to several Literotica authors and readers, including HarryFromVA, Carvohi, IronDragon, BetrayedByLove, CantAbideByIt, Mustang88, Slirpuff, Duna and ColinTheDog.

January 2, 2015:

I have just submitted a story titled "Getting Even," which is a drastic departure from my normal subject matter. I was recently contacted by a reader with the username "Strapper66", who challenged me to evolve as a storyteller and write outside of my comfort zone. This story is the result of that challenge.

The greatest obstacle I faced in writing this tale was that I find stories about infidelity, divorce, marital strife and revenge incredibly boring. I had to find a way to make it interesting, and put my own spin on a storyline that has been beaten to death on this site. I hope I have accomplished that.

I dedicate this story to Strapper66, and also to a user named "betrayedbylove." It was that user's profile that gave me the inspiration I needed to create an interesting story from what I consider to be a dull subject matter.

March 3, 2015

I have just submitted a new story that is unlike any other that I have written to date. This story is the result of a writing challenge I gave to myself, in which I attempted to follow a template that is popular in action movies. This project took more time than I ever anticipated, as I purposely wrote my characters into seemingly inescapable corners to see if I could develop a creative and plausible way for them to escape. I will find out shortly if I succeeded.
