I started to write when I was about 12. It took me until I was 15 years old, and I am 24 now, to create my own style of writing. Sometimes rhyming... sometimes not... or a bit of both at once. I believe there should be no real writing style, but simply for the author to express themselves however they feel the need to. So when someone tells me, "You should put this here." or "Change that to this." I tell them no. I DO appreciate the offers to help me with my writing, but I am happy with it the way it is. If someone is happy with their own work, then that should be enough, especially when one is doing it merely for an outlet for their feelings, or for fun.
I write whenever I get the chance to, it is something I adore doing. It makes me feel somewhat important to have such an artistic outlet, if that makes any sense at all.
