Who is ready in this life
to be born
to leave childhood behind
to take responsibility
to be a parent
and to guide others
to take solace in old age and in grief

Who is ready, to take another's soul
and her heart
her life and her dreams
who would do that and
keep her happy?

Takes a Man
or a Woman
to do that
One who knows
what holding a soul
in their hands
is

that silvery creation,
that will o'wisp,
that stray thought
wrapt around and held tight
burning bright,
and once again shining as
a beacon light

Ships in the dark, ground under,
Hopes dashed and then uplifted
Many falter and so
who Looks for the high falutin’
Give Me One who walks
and knows the way

No eyes , no sockets
the mind His guide
