I sit,
ruminate;
it rolled in
unknowing I was.

Never do I lose
hope
never did it seem closer
Destiny is My
child
I left her behind
alone
       bereft
by the side of the road.

Come ,
Be with Me
again, He said,
what would fain be another.

Nay,
whispered the little black
crawly things
slowly filling His mind.

Rancorous, swift
Taken again and again
       Left like an empty vessel,
a cracked
pot,
that fissure widening

nothing left to give
       Nothing left to be.

Gone
as tendrils of thought
in the censored visions
of His heart

Bereft

Visions of deep dark pools of sweet sadness.

~~

A rather dark one, seems more along the line of giving up, surrendering. Depressing thought.
