Banding together
Little droves of significant ones
nay not that
Say it isn't so,

Small fires, prairie
burrows built over
and under,
gophering about,

scuttles and scutters
why do they always
seem underfoot
they rear their ugly heads
Make me
             Take me,
                          no Me first.

That me generation,
That sliding scale again
who will pay the piper
rises and watches as they go,

meandering thoughts ,
                     maudlin phrases
None really understood ,
many , many said they did
Pretenders all?

or did He merely change the
rules halfway through
again and again that refrain
Take me for what I am
not for what you think I am.

another good one

As with most art, we all pull out what we can see, and though I might not hear the whole story here, it reminds me of someone... and I really like what I can catch of your words.
