haunting dreams enfold my form
forever holding me in its embrace
never willing to let me go
to return to that which eludes me so.
Certain as the sun ...
rising in the east ...
it will never let me go
captured to its caressing arms
like a beast of night
that holds the beauty in its chains
here is where I stay.
Where is that knight upon its steed
that in my childhood dreams
was promised to rescue me from all evil
in a clash of steel and a sweep of protective arms
dashing me from the clasp of chains
that threaten to never let me go.
Helpless captive forever trapped
in endless dreams of torturous thoughts
fighting with small fists
that beat against unflinching walls
slipping through cracks within the armor
to run blindly through the night
only to be captured once again
by those that mock her endless plight.
Tear-streamed face pressed to unseen bars
within the window of her soul
forever waiting for His eruption into locked heart
blue eyes forever watching, but never seeing
always wondering if He will come
the passage of time
only sealing the fate settled around her in wait.
Unseen weapons and vile creatures
protecting the walls of my heart
cruelly laughing at her impassioned pleas
joyous in each heartbreak
that pushes her further into this tower
waiting only for that one moment
to run free once again.
I'm asking if they are from Disney, not pointing it out, because they sound familiar but I'm not sure.
If we are going to point to simply_cyn and say hey those lines are from Disney we might as well point to Disney and say those are dickens or someone else's lines. I have read in many a book that are entirely too old for my mind not yet on its proper caffiene fix for the day to remember that have lines that Disney just went through and 'borrowed'. I liked it cyn. Always, E
Aren't these lines, or part of them, from Disney's Beauty and the Beast?
