Deep inside the silent soul,
It's eyes firery red a glow.

In slumber for awhile is a hope,
For if it wakes, emotions choke.

If the Dragon does awake,
Do you fear it will escape?

The plain of tranqulity that will shake.
A mess of things It'll surely make.

The Balance of harmony is mostly sought,
It cannot be made or even Bought.

There is no sure way to confine.
The Dragon of anger in a mind.

There be dragons

This has good flow. With or without the "a"....nicely done. Great title, by the way.

Good

Just drop that "a" in the first line of the second stanza. Go ahead and read the entire poem aloud. Try it with and without the "a". The "a" is one syllable too many for that line. Other than that, it reads quite well.
