storm of longing
~*
treacherous beauty in flight
~*
carries thunder to the edge
captures bolts of light
riding its pursuit of death voids
~*
some illusions are providence
~*
some dark pools of deception
cloaked in sensuous markings
~*
stains of primal heat once dormant
rules the magnetic attraction
in twin sparks spinning opposite
tornadic reactions
~*
fertile rivers await
to catch the remanent of
lovers drenched by the downpour

I loved the strong images

of the storm, the language added a forboding that did darken the mood. I was distracted by the ~*. I felt your words stood well on their own and the stanza breaks gave you the distinct break you needed. An excellent poem.
