If you've never dealt with the blind,
It can be somewhat scarey.
/There's no doubt you'll feel discomfort,
Sometimes things will get hairy!

Most blind people know their limits,
If they don't they learn them fast!
They don't mind help freely given,
As long as no slurs are cast.

There's some things the blind realize,
That helps traverse their life.
An attitude of friendliness,
Is something that won't cause strife.

The blind know their limitations,
They can't do what they can't see.
But many independant things,
They manage successfully!

Most blind people can sense real fast,
Attitudes of those around.
If they feel their not welcome friend,
First chance they'll be outward bound!

There's those that think if you can't see,
Your brain's stopped functioning too!
But most of the blind that I've met,
Have more sense than me or you!

If you chance to meet someone blind,
Treat them like any other,
Person that you have dealings with,
You'll make some real friends brother!!
