Have I been asleep throughout this quake?
Should they fear resistance when I awake?
How many times shall history be repeated?
Until my spirit is permanently defeated?
When will the aching cease?
When can my feelings be at peace?
Must I wait for time to wash it all away?
Or will the pain remain, and in my heart forever stay?
Oh how each minute of life wanes.
With pain, with sorrow, release these chains!
Upon my sleeve doth my heart rest.
Ever since it has been ripped out of my chest.
Its pieces beat ever still.
Now I have a hole to fill.
Will you please piece my heart together?
And be my companion forever?
Fill the hole and let it scab over.
You can be my four-leaf clover.
