It happened December the Seventh,
In the year nineteen forty one.
It was on this "Day of Infamy,"
Our country lost eight thousand sons.

Japan's sneak attack in Hawaii,
Was an attack that succeeded,
Because of the stupid Admirals,
And warnings that went unheeded.

These Admirals were political,
They were blinded by tradition.
They only worried about theirselves,
How to get higher position.

There can be no doubt when Japan struck,
From the sky that early morning.
On Sunday December the Seventh,
Succeeded from ignored warnings.

Before Japan ended their attack,
A third of our war ships were sunk.
Because of Admiral ignorance,
And Command's incompetent drunks!!

hmm

you should try free verse with this poem, or maybe a villanelle.
