~~~~~~~~
enduring thoughts,
of days
when waves swept over,
filled lungs with adoration,
breathless,
my surrender.
whispered howls,
sweet gusts of wind,
your autumn breath
inhaled through
yearning lips.
the warmth of sun,
your smile lit up
our silouettes,
kissed away
darkness.
transformed
within your forest limbs,
cradled,
love
rocked me tender,
read me a story,
a book of sorrows
with once upon a happy ending.
you'll read the words
written now.
remember,
I loved you.
ocean-divided
through lifetime.
I shall miss you.
you rocked my world w/ this one...
These lines did it for me:
--------------------
remember,
I loved you.
ocean-divided
through lifetime.
I shall miss you.
--------------------
thank you for the emotions these lines brought up for me!
How did this get here?
Isn't this an older poem? I remember it, and I see I already commented, and voted!
This is lovely.
So delicate and yet full of emotion. Well done, fawnie! Another beauty.
:Note: I no longer use the thermometer.
Eve is right
I almost quit reading it at that point, I glad I didn't. I has some very nice things. I liked this inversion:
"a book of sorrows
with once upon a happy ending."
fooled the eye at first, had to go back, its a good thing to do, it has a lot of nice "saves" like that.
