I often bite my nails
to bleeding, raw
waning moons.

I feel sorry for them
sometimes and then
I let them grow.

But they seem to remember
being bitten.

So soft and weak
bitter and brittle...

so I bite them again.

A regular event by nails well known;

Can you imagine her effect
