i so wanted you

i love you with all my heart
however, you do not see

i so wanted you
to love you
to hold you
to fold you in my arms
and keep you out of harms way

to praise you
to raise you
to caress you
to impress you
to honor you
to glory you
to do homage to you
to have carnal knowledge of you
to defend you
to unbend you
when life twists you in two

to care for you
to dare you
to adore you
to implore you
to love me

i so wanted you
but you do not see

i can so love you
because i love me

and while i so wanted you
i still have me
to love.

A look inside...

A great introspective look at a relationship and it's dynamics... Well written.

smiles softly....

...loves that, in reading your words, a reader sees your heart...and it's beautiful.

so simple but wonderfully constructed

I am probably the only one who is going to comment on the form of this poem but before that sentiment is something near and dear to me and therefore best left to others.

The rhythm moves beautifully and the ringcomposition gives it a wonderful closure. All in all a wonderful poem:)
