It took but a peek to find the truth
though now I regret being a sleuth

The lies, deception, cut like a knife
you've found someone else to make your wife

At least show respect and leave me alone
for you I almost sold my home

What a fool I was, but now I see
to you it's a game, yet you blamed me

You did the same when we first met
something so special is hard to forget

'I loved you the first time you came in the room'
but now it's another girl making you swoon

I hope she won't hear the same damn lies
the ones I've now grown to despise

I won't wait around for you to deny
So here is the kittycat saying good-bye

Curiousity killed the cat
in this case her heart, you saw to that

Saying goodbye.

Lament for a love lost to another. Wishes and admonishments as she closes love's door. A poetic pearl!

Lesson Learned

She has felt the pain

Has learned well his lessons

And now she's gone

And someone will learn

Tomcats are eternal and unchanged

As are their stripes
