Monday night , headed home drunk
once again double lining
I see ahead you and I entwining
In rapturous embrace
God , what is this place?
That denies passion
Permutates priorities
Leaves me longing
for a phantom
A ghost of a chance
To dance the dance
that lasts a lifetime
spins the cycle into forever
skirt floating
hem rising
inviting a touch
a longing caress
to reach into forever
to days untold
unfolding eternity
enfolding bliss

this

is an illusion
an enticement
and yet
I can not shake it
deny it
decry it

how I long for you

how I long for you

tungtied...

...I sometimes wonder what you would see, staggering home bald-faced sober!!! Then again, you seem to understand why old wannabes like me keep the hair of the dog nearby!
