Life walks the street
magic in it’s pocket
pulls never ending kerchiefs
from it’s sleeve
while you watch amazed,
only to twist it round your throat

until you lay on the ground
then conjures a saw and cuts you in half
only to put you together again
levitate you to a higher plain

what wonder and awe these tricks infuse
into mundane days and nights
through which we’d otherwise amble
trance like to work and home ad infinitum

the trick is to conquer the illusion
ignore the obvious
keep your eyes peeled
perceive to see the sorcerer behind the scenes
and what he’s trying to show us

life

The many ways to keep life from being mundane. Staying always on the alert for things not yet seen.

Tung wrestles the Angel

Why did I take this on a much more theological level? It is well done an any level, though.

I'd have to say this reminded me of the Wizard of Oz as well. The ending was great. Fab work :-)
