Christmas Day was lookin' real gloomy,
And pretty bad for Old Saint Nick.
He was still in bed with a fever,
He had the flu and was real sick!

Poor Mrs. Claus and all of the Elfs,
Were actin' like headless chickens.
They couldn't figure out what to do,
All their notions were "thin pickins'!

Then the head Elf had an idea,
"We need someone who won't work slow!
Lets find Rudolph and send him after,
His big flyin' friend called Dumbo!"

Santa Claus gave a sigh of relief,
And the Elfs unloaded his sleigh.
Santa gave a feeble grin and said,
"Ol' Dumbo's gonna save the day!"

Dumbo arrived and got straight to work,
And got harnessed up with no fuss.
He would use his trunk to pass out gifts,
Then "tootle" a "Merry Christmas!"

Dumbo made the rounds and delivered,
All the presents in real short shift!"
When he got home he was satisfied,
"This will be MY OWN Christmas gift!!"
