And inside my heart is burning
screaming and raging
demanding vengeance
demanding life and pain
slinking in black night
betrayed
and bereft
hurt for hurt
an eye for an eye
a broken life
for a broken heart

not me not me not me
cannot understand me
yet they judge me
yet they leave me
yet they hurt me and burn me and

eat rage woman
an endless cycle
life is not one thing after another
it’s the same damn thing
over and over and over and over
selfish souls meet selfish destinies
and crush the givers
without recognition, with indifference
until broken souls rise up
and what was taken for granted

is lost forever
the final verdict.

Ouch!

Anger, pain, disappointment, hurt, defiance, yeah, you've captured them all in here. Powerful and intimate. Thank you. LJ
