It’s 4AM you wake from bed
A thought that won’t get from your head
And you wish that you were dead
You should be snuggled in your bed
Instead you have to hear your head
If its thoughts you wish to shed
Pen and paper now outspread
Removing the thoughts like a bad blackhead
Until you’re sure you won’t be misread
Finally your brain gives you the go ahead
Your thoughts your words now have all been said
Now go back to bed you sleepyhead
