she arrived the April Fool
wondered down from up north
sophistication and civilization
wanting a Hilton here an Arby's there
something for all the masses,
she had so much to learn.....

Memorial Day the tourist came
her beach shrunk to the size of a blanket
the line at the Expresso Hut ran out the door,
    and she became enlighted....

drinking caffeine at the gas station
rubbing elbows with old timers
reminiscing about the good old days,
         of April....

now she can't find her shoes
her only makeup is sunglasses
yet she sports a glow old Max,
        could never Factor in.....

she will jet to Boulder
with the first frost
taking a lot less baggage
