Two Monarchs flew across my beach
fluttering overhead....
                    just out of reach
I read the trails they left in the air
sometimes confused.... but often amused

the deeper they flew into my world
below my canvas of brilliant blue
I realized their own......
           reasons for being here too

as the season ended...
                   they flew away
dropping me in a cabbage patch
waiting for the caterpillars
to bloom and grow just as they...

nice write

natures contrast with our own, this poem is not the traditional style of sandspike <grin> but still had the spice that made this a very nice poem.

Get an illustrator and make this into a children's book.

No voting?

I feel deprived;

it's at least a "5"

A vivid picture here painted

of your Monarchs soaring overhead...
