Words are trying to rush out of me
but they are getting cluttered.
My fingers rest and try to speak
the things that can't be muttered.

Shaking my head I wonder
what more that I must do.
I've tried so hard to be so strong
and keep a hold of you.

Perhaps that is my problem,
I'm to weak from fight.
Trying to keep us together,
because that is supposed to be what's right.

Stories, you don't care for.
The language offends your mind.
Poems you say are silly,
and just a waste of your time.

Others see me for the words I write.
While you chose to ignore,
not really even wanting
to hear from me much more.

Bringing cheer and laughter
is all I've tried to do.
With each smile I give
a frown comes over you.

No one outside would guess
that this is how we live
I've kept it safely hidden
very deep within.

~~

Verse is never silly,

not when done so well;

speaking of self's feelings,

and leaving self exposed.

Superb - especially when heard.

A sad commentary

DC:

So sad. The tragedy is that in some way or other we all do it. In most cases it is not intentional, we just get wrapped up in our own personal life and forget that we are beholden to others. It seems like it takes a tragedy or near tragedy to put things back into perspective. Thank You. Ronnie W.
