Every once in awhile
when I need a smile
I sip on a bottle of vino

and tilt back my head
at the foot of my bed
and dream of Portofino

with it’s red tile roofs
and it’s whitewashed walls,
sun drenched beaches
and waves that call

with families in thralls
of laughter, and all
the bikini clad babes

enjoying the call
to fun and freedom
from life’s dreary pall

wondering why I sit here
within these dreary walls
dreaming of Portofino

Nice cycle in the flow of words;

dreaming to the siren call of Portofino...

You know better!

You break the strophe flow as well as the rhyme.

Shame on you!
