she screams silently
the room full of strangers
she feels her soul bleed
onto the tile floor
her eyes dart around
as her awareness fades
she cannot hear the voices
around her
her hands are shaking
she can't focus
she just prays
to whatever god may exist
that tomorrow will be different

I'm sorry

I am sorry. Although many poems are written to evoke certain emotions, many of mine were written to cope with my own battles. This one was written two years ago during a depressive stage of my bipolar before I was on the correct medication. Some fights with diseases should not be forgotten. As painful as memories can be, they are a part of who we are.
